illuminations cruise question

Do you have to be staying on site to book an illuminations cruise?

I'm fairly certain that anyone can book one of the cruises - it doesn't matter where you are staying (as it's similar to booking a restaurant PS in WDW).

However, just as I was typing this, a tiny doubt came into my mind, so I will try to confirm this for you unless someone else comes up with a definite answer first!

I just rang them to try and book for 13th April. I was so excited when I got through, then she said they were only booking for 12th April. I appear to have worked out the 90 days wrong!
I would have got one too!
Now I will have to try again tomorrow when I am at work which is much more difficult!!
After all that I never asked her if you had to be on site, but she never mentioned it so I am assuming it is ok.

Hi Joan

I've booked a Specialty cruise before now and wasn't staying on site so you should be fine.

I think the only advantage of staying on site for them is if you pay by American Express you get a further discount, but you have to give your hotel and room number.

Enjoy..................they are just the perfect way to see the Illuminations.

Just one other thing, make sure you mention when booking that you want to see the Illuminations - otherwise they may book you onto an earlier cruise

When I rang earlier today I followed the Dis guidelines and asked for the 8pm speciality cruise, the cm said " Do you mean the Epcot illuminations cruise" !!
Here's hoping I'm as lucky tomorrow ( or the next day, ot the next

JoanUK that is funny those same people are who insisted that there was <b>no</b> illuminations cruises only specialty cruises, LOL. I guess it just depends on who answers your call

Epcot Illuminations cruises are available to everyone regardless of where they are staying. You don't have to be an onsite guest.

Congratulations on getting that reservation, you're going to <b>love</b> this experience!
