Illuminations Cruise - Private Dining Question

A few trips back, we had a particularly horrible experience at California Grill, and the manager there (having learned we had an Illuminations cruise planned the following night) had called the Yacht Club and arranged for a great cheese tray and a fabulous bottle of wine to be waiting for us on the boat - a class move that really did a ton to help improve my opinion of Disney after a terrible waitress basically ruined my 40th birthday dinner. The downside of this, however, is that now I want every cruise to have the same amenities

I have an Illuminations cruise booked for two couples for a trip the week after next. I would like to arrange for something a bit more "upscale" than the usual soda and snack bag assortment. I understand I can do that through the Yacht Club private dining.

My questions are these:

(1) Is there a copy of the "private dining" menu for the Yacht Club online somewhere so I can get some ideas of what they can do, as far as some special appetizers and

(2) Can I arrange to have a good bottle of wine or two on the boat ? If so, would I do that through private dining or via The Yachtsman or something ?

BUMP! We're hoping to book one as well. Just wanting to know our options. I've heard they serve water & chips & pretzles. I would like to have some adult drinks and something special on board for everyone as well.

We've ordered special foods for Illuminations cruise as well...one time DH got chocolate covered strawberries and champagne to celebrate our anniversary. I don't know of or have a printed menu, but you can call private dining and they will be more than happy to let you know what is available for the private cruises...I thought I had the # on my phone, but I don't -sorry. But you can call the regular Disney dining # and ask to be transferred.

We had two cakes for our Illuminations cruise and the people I spoke to when I ordered asked if we wanted anything else. You may want to try them... I don`t have # but if you go to restaurant board and click `cake chatter` thread, lurkyloo has all the info for each resort! She also has a website with the info (google her name and it should pop up)

Enjoy - Cruise was best thing we did all trip!

I would try asking on the wedding board...lots of brides know about private dining event info there.....(as not all brides book these special dining experiences through the wedding dept and many go through private dining for annys and such)
