Illuminations Cruise & Parking at DB

I have managed to book an Illuminations cruise and need help as to where to park at DB.

The cruise leaves from the Friendship Dock and although we will be at Epcot in the day we were looking at the option of leaving the park around 5.00ish back to our villa (off site......the shame I know ) to freshen up and then returning to the Broadwalk in time to set sail.

My concern is that as we will be there over Easter where will be the best place to park and will it be a nightmare getting parking??

Get there early and enjoy the Boardwalk before the cruise. If your early enough parking shouldn't be an issue because you will have time to secure a spot. It's even nice to just people watch for a little while on Boardwalk. We like to have dinner there; so, we always show up early if we have a cruise going on.

There's always valet parking if worse comes to worse. I wouldn't sweat the cost; afterall, you are paying a great sum already for the cruise.

If you want to save your pennies and parking looks tough at Boardwalk then go over to the Swan and park there and boat it over to Boardwalk. It's a little bit of a hassle doing it that way but at least it gets you close to where you need to be. I've never had parking woes at the Swan.

S&D will be charging for parking beginning this month. I think it's $10 for non-valet parking.

Tell the guard at the parking lot that you have an Illuminations Cruise booked and I bet they will let you park without a problem.

We had a hard time finding a self park space at Boardwalk around 6:30pm last Friday night. We ended up using valet (free for DVC members, $7.00 all other).
