Illuminations cruise or Pirate cruise?

What exactly are these and are they pricey?? Anyone go on them........what did you think?

There is another thread with the same question somewhere that I just read....Sorry I don't remember the answers, or I'd tell you! I think the Illuminations was $120 and everyone said it was great.

I think the Illuminations cruise has gone up to $150 (plus tip).
 
The pirate cruise is just for children, I think, ages 4-10. My son loved the pirate cruise. We, as a family, has done the Illumination cruise and really loved it.
 

Another vote for Pirates Cruise here - DD6 absolutely loved it - plus DW and I got some time to ourselves !

We also tried an Illuminations Cruise our last trip. You do a bit of a cruise through the waterways and past MGM before you head to Epcot and dock in your "spot". A bit pricey - but you do get a unique view of the fireworks. I wouldn't do it again, though.
