IllumiNations cruise max riders

Hi all,
I have read through much of the IllumiNation thread, but I am still confused. When i called Disney they said no more than 10 passengers, including children, but other sources say up to 12 if some are children. Of course, it seems logical (kind of!) to go with what Disney says, except I suspect the reservation person may not know as much as the boat driver. Has anyone ever taken more than 10 on a pontoon at Disney?

Officially, the answer is firmly "10". The captain may allow more than that. And as likely it is that the captains will try to accommodate 12 (in our case 13 -- many small kids), I suppose they could pass the word down at any time that no more than 10 are to ride.

We talked with our captain in the afternoon to get a feeling if it might be possible. It all worked out, but we were prepared to only board 10.
