Illuminations Cruise Central--MAY

Anyone looking to share an Illuminations Cruise during <b>May</b>? If you have reserved an Illuminations Cruise and are willing to share, please post your date here. Perhaps we can coordinate this and help each other out.

When you post your reply, use the subject box to tell whether you <b>need</b> space (and how many you need) on a cruise or if you <b>have</b> space available and <b>include the dates</b>. I think that might make it a little easier to coordinate a match.

Even with the new changes, you can still get an Illuminations Cruise

There have been some changes made in the Illuminations Cruises. First, they are no longer called Illuminations Cruises, all of the fireworks cruises at WDW are known as "Specialty Cruises" because they cannot guarantee that you will see Illuminations.

There are also daytime "Specialty" cruises. They are booked at two hour intervals beginning at 12 noon. In order to have a chance to see Illuminations, you will need to call 407-WDW-PLAY 90 days in advance and request the 8:00 PM cruise, telling them that you hope to see Illuminations (or the Magic Kingdom fireworks). They will then schedule your cruise for 1/2 hour prior to the beginning of Illuminations.

Why can't they guarantee that you will see Illuminations? These cruises last 45 minutes, only. If, for some reason, Illuminations is delayed, your boat will still return to the marina when 45 minutes have passed, whether or not Illuminations has finished.

We (me, DH, and 1 year old DS) are going to be there the evenings of May 14, 15, 16, and 17. If anyone is able to get an Illuminations Cruise for one of those nights, we would LOVE to come with you! We are staying at the Beach Club Villas, so it would be really easy for us to join you. Last time we went, I got a cruise booked, organized a DIS group to share it with, handled all the details, etc. I would love to do it again this time, but I just don't have the time right now with the baby, work, a sick MIL, etc. So, if anybody has any luck and would let us come along, we would be thrilled! We will, of course, be happy to pay our share! PM or email me. This trip is to celebrate our baby boy's first birthday! He was a preemie (1lb and 7oz) and is doing GREAT now, so we have a lot to celebrate!

Just wanted to give all the Dis folks the heads up.........I got my cruise first thing this morning and my Disney buddy also got thru and got one for me. I am going to call and cancel at 2:15 today (Feb 5) if anyone is looking for one and did not get thru. Good Luck all!!

If anyone is interested, I have two Illuminations cruises booked for May 7. I booked one, but concierge booked one also. I will be calling to cancel one of them. I will hang onto it for a few days if anyone is interested we can set up a time for me to cancel, so you can call to book it once I do.

If anyone has an Illuminations cruise they would like to share, we will be in Disney from May 1 - May 10. I don't want to book one myself because of the cost factor, we are on a budget (LOL like everyone else). Last time we went to Disney we joined another family on a cruise and shared the cost. It worked out great! My party consists of myself, my mother, and two well behave and very polite 16 year old girls. If anyone is willing to share and cut their costs, please let me know. Hello Gang!

I helped out a friend today to book a Cruise for May 17th, my mom got through and her cousin got through too, so she is going to cancel one of the boats tomorrow or Thursday.

As soon as she cancels it she is going to let me know so that I can post it here....and then you all can take it from there....

If anyone is interested and would also like me to email you when she cancels I will send out a mass email...LOL

I can't believe there were 4 of us calling today and 2 got boats! What are the odds!!

I hope everyone gets the cruise you are looking for...I will be calling in August for my Trip in November and will be back here to share the boat!!

well, I tried at 7am this morning to book an illuminations cruise. All boats were already gone. I said "wow, and it's only 7am" to which the CM replied "oh no, it's already 7:03am, you're calling in too late"

Guess I'll have to try calling a little bit earlier tomorrow

If I do get one, I'll be posting here to share because there's only 4 of us.

Start trying at 6:55AM since you never know, your clock could be a little faster and you think it is 7 and it is 7:03!!

You will notice when they are open, it is a different message and when you push the button for reservations (4 I think) it goes right through when they are open, when they are closed and you push the button the message just keeps going.

We have booked an Illuminations Cruise for the evening of Thursday, May 20th! We currently have 8 onboard and have room for two adults or two adults with up to two small children!

If anyone is interested in joining us, please PM me for the details! We are planning on dividing the cost of the cruise per person! If we can get 12 onboard, that is only $10 per person! How can you go wrong?
