Illuminations Cruise Central For December

Hi there

Anyone looking to share an Illuminations Cruise during DECEMBER? If you have reserved an Illuminations Cruise and are willing to share, please post your date here. Perhaps we can coordinate this and help each other out.

When you post your reply, use the subject box to tell whether you need space (and how many you need) on a cruise or if you have space available and include the dates. I think that might make it a little easier to coordinate a match.

Even with the new changes, you can still get an Illuminations Cruise

There have been some changes made in the Illuminations Cruises. First, they are no longer called Illuminations Cruises, all of the fireworks cruises at WDW are known as "Specialty Cruises" because they cannot guarantee that you will see Illuminations.

There are also daytime "Specialty" cruises. They are booked at two hour intervals beginning at 12 noon. In order to have a chance to see Illuminations, you will need to call 407-WDW-PLAY 90 days in advance and request the 8:00 PM cruise, telling them that you hope to see Illuminations (or the Magic Kingdom fireworks). They will then schedule your cruise for 1/2 hour prior to the beginning of Illuminations.

Why can't they guarantee that you will see Illuminations? These cruises last 45 minutes, only. If, for some reason, Illuminations is delayed, your boat will still return to the marina when 45 minutes have passed, whether or not Illuminations has finished.

So, who has a cruise to share in DECEMBER?

I thought the cruises couldn't be booked until 90 days out - is that correct? I've been waiting until my 90 day window to try to book - we really want to get either a Wishes or Illuminations cruise! We'll be there Dec. 8-20.

I thought the same, 90 days out. I guess it is never too soon though to find a 'booking buddy'. But we are there Dec2-8th and want to do illuminations one 12.3, so if anyone out there wants to join us(if we get it) or gets one and has room for 6(4 adults 2 kids) please PM me. It is a special occasion for us, Grandma's bday and that would make the night perfect!

Yes, Specialty Cruises are 90 Days in Advance.
Also, don't forget, IllumiNations will be at 9:30 in the month of December to avoid clashing with the Candlelight Procession at American Gardens Theater.

We (just the two of us) would be open to sharing one on 12/8.

I am arriving on 12/3 and departing on 12/9. I will be celebrating my honeymoon with my lovely new soon to be bride. So it will just be the two of us. I'm not intending to be rude, but will there be children on this cruise?

Sorry, I just re-read your post and see that there will be children. We would prefer to go with another couple or two if anyone is looking at the same date range.

My wife and I will be taking 3 of our grandchildren to WDW in December. We would be happy to share the cost of an "Illuminations cruise" with another family.

We would be available any evening (except Tuesday) from the 3rd (Sunday) through the 10th (Sunday).

My wife and I would love to share with someone. We are arriving the 17th staying through the 27th at SSR . Our Anniversary is the 22nd, but we would be willing to go just about any night, Wishes or Illuminations. Hope to see some of you there .

We also have 5 people in our party; my wife and I and three grandchildren 13,11 and 7. We would be available any evening (except Tuesday) from the 3rd (Sunday) through the 10th (Sunday).

lt looks as though we will be at WDW during the same period. If we both try to get a reservation, perhaps one (or maybe both) of us will be sucessful and could split the cost.

Our visits appear to overlap on Fri 12/8, Sat 12/9 and Sun 12/10.

To increase our odds, let's both try to book a cruise. If one one (or both) of us gets a reservation in that period we can set up a way to coordinate sharing of the boat.

I am going to start trying for reservations on the 18th of September, and keep trying every day until the 26th or I get a cruise or two. Anyone else going at this time want to share if I get one or try and get one at the same time? The more attempts the better chance of getting a cruise right?

hi!! we will be at WDW dec. 16-26th @ POP!! my mom will be with us the 16th through early am the 24th.
i (we) would love to share a cruise with you 2!! my mom's b-day is the 22nd! the same as your anniversary!

**IF** we get a cruise, it will be a surprise gift for my mom. i was thinking of ordering a cake or maybe the glass slipper dessert for her....it would be fun to have a double celebration!
