Illuminations Cruise Central--DECEMBER

Since I have had good luck booking I thought I would add my tips... First, the info on page one is excellent! I didnt even have to use the cheater method, meaning I entered in my phone number and not the other option (I forget what it is... but scroll up if you want to go that route

First open up this page.... What time is it exactly Get your phone ready and hit send at 6:59:56 that way by the time the clock hits 7 your already there, if that makes sense. (maybe you should see how long it takes on your phone to go from hitting send to dialing.. for my phone it takes 5 seconds from the time I hit redial to the time it connects)

Then following the prompts listed on page one... I would hit #3 count to 2 hit #2 count to 2 enter phone number (followed by the # sign) count to 2 hit #1 count to 2 then hit #2. I dont even bother listening to the message... I just count off two... and hit the next number...

When they answer Firmly and loudly (coz your talking over them) say I need the 8 pm specialy cruise outta of the Y&BC for what ever date (it kills me that you have to say the date... like the people who are calling at 7 am want another day, but YOU DO need to say the date) and please HURRY!!!

I hope this helps some of you. I am three for three (2 in a row this trip and got the cruise last October also)

I want to thank you, LauraBearz, for all that good info and good luck...I got my IllumiNations Cruise! I know you said you had good luck dialing all those numbers, but my fingers just don't work that fast that early in the morning, so I "cheated", and just dialed 3, then 1. With all the other info, it worked a charm! Oh, and I started dialing at 6:55am, and just kept redialing...I'm not as secure as you about the workings of a mere atomic clock .

I'm sharing my "ride" with another nice DIS family, but it seems that we have one open space...if any singles or solos are wanting a cruise on 12/26, please pm me.

I have to disagree with the OP. Our experiences with the illuminations "specialty cruises" have been great. When I expressed concern about having only 45 minutes, we didn't want to leave until 8:45 for 9PM show, etc. I was told "You will see illuminations, don't worry."
Twice we left the dock about 8:40 - the captain said the 45 - 60 minute rule is a GREAT RUMOR, they never leave in the middle of the show!
The first time we headed toward MGM. After a few minutes I got nervous and asked if we were going to Epcot another way. The captain said, "Oh the fireworks aren't at MGM?" Then he broke out laughing - He got me!! He explained that we had plenty of time to cruise around the waterways and then arrive at Epcot about 8:55 pm for the show. The second time was similiar, I cautiously asked if we would return after 45 minutes, and the captain said, "If you'd like to, otherwise we'll be the last ones to leave."
Sure enough, we were the last boat to leave Epcot after the show.
SO, IMHO IF YOU BOOK THE CRUISE FOR ILLUMINATIONS - YOU WILL SEE ILLUMINATIONS!
