I can't imagine that would be possible. Illuminations takes place inside the WS lagoon and is very low to the ground/water. Perhaps you are thinking about seeing Wishes, but I think that is from the beach at the Poly Resort. Hopefully someone will come along who knows for sure, but as I said, I don't think it is possible.
Hmmm, well I know you can see Wishes from the Poly but CBR is an Epcot resort so that was the thinking. It is pretty low though. Curious to see what others say.
Good to know! Thanks for the map. I guess you could see some of the higher fireworks, but I don't remember Illuminations having very many high ones.
OP, have you looked on youtube for any videos? People post lots of videos from WDW. Maybe there is one that could give you an idea of what the view is like??? Good luck!
I did not watch with the sound on, so I apologize if there are any inappropriate words by the videographer. DH and I are watching 30 Rock so I had to keep the sound off. LOL!

Good point. I love searching youtube for odd Disney videos. One of my favorites is someone taping the shpiel and view as a bus pulls into MK. =D Ill post it here if I find one.

Wishes and Illuminations are two very different shows. Wishes is all fireworks, and can be seen from all around the MK area. There are just a couple of minutes worth of fireworks in Illuminations, at the beginning and the end of the show, the rest is fire and water effects on the surface of the World Showcase lagoon, and light effects inside the park, plus some video displayed on a globe that floats on the lagoon.
From outside Epcot, all you can see are the highest fireworks. You will see at least some of those from CBR, and it's really cool to see, but you won't see the show itself. There will also be waits between the fireworks bursts while the rest of the show is going on.
We stayed at CBR last Feb, and we're quite surprised one night to find that we could in fact see the higher fireworks from Illuminations, from just outside of our room!!! (we were in a Barbados building that faced toward the customs building). So yes, you absolutely can!
We've watched the higher Illuminations fireworks from a couple of different spots at the CBR. The best places are from Old Port Royale and the Martinique beach. It surprises me every time that you can see them so well.
We have stayed in Aruba numerous times and have seen the fireworks from the hillside. Quite a few people gather there or at Ol Port Royale to watch them. Not as good as being there but still love seeing the fireworks.
