Illuminations and Spice Road

Just made an ADR for Spice Road. I understand this may be a good location from which to view Illuminations. Should I be looking for/nicely requesting a certain area of the restaurant?

You may be able to ask to be "outside" or on the "patio" rather than inside. It is to the left of the bar when you enter. You can request it but I can't say that you'll get it if you ask for it. For whatever reason though Spice Road Table isn't typically busy so there is a good chance.

It is a small patio (narrow with only 5 tables along the water. The next row should have a view as well but anyone else will probably have obstructed views from the ceiling, pillars and heaters (if it's cooler). There is no where to get up and view from like Rose and Crown so you will be expected to stay at your table. Inside is about the same amount of space with window, less view.

There is an island between the restaurant and where the globe and main part is so depending on your seat it may be obstructed.

Personally I would never book to see it. I would book during it if I don't mind it just being in the "background" of my evening.

I am standing at the end, you can see the iron fence at bottom. Those are all the water edge seats.

This is looking out towards where the globe will be. It is over close to area between those two gift shops. You can see the pillars, heaters ad island in your way.
