Illinois DVC Owners

Just curious as to whether there are a lot of DVC owners from Illinois. I live in Decatur, original home of the Chicago Bears. What are your home resorts and are you headed to WDW this summer? I own at Beach Club, and we're headed to Old Key West in mid July.

Does it count if we DID live in Illinois when we first bought DVC? We used to live in Vernon Hills, but have been in the Atlanta area for almost nine years. (Nice driving distance from any of the DVC resorts!)

I grew up in SE Suburban area of Chicago. Now I live in Louisiana. We own at OKW, VWL and BCV.

Well my DH and I are from KY but his grandparents and extended family live in Decatur too! He also has a brother who lives in Saybrook (close to Gibson City).

I think you'll find there are quite a few IL owners. I own at BWV and WLV. Flitter (Mary) who posts on the Collectors Board lives in Richton Park and owns at OKW. My cousins own at OKW and live in Chicago. I work with a couple of people who own DVC too.

There is someone who parks in the same commuter lot in Tinley Park who has the license plate, DVC MBR.

We are in the northwest suburbs of Chicago. We own at both BWV and HH. Going to HH in a couple of months....no plans for WDW this year and probably not next either. We're most likely going to use our points for Tanque Verde Ranch next spring. But, were thinking about doing another add on. Then we'd have to use the points, so there is hope for a WDW trip next year.

my brother lives near 22 & Summitt and is going with us to OKW over thanksgiving!

We live west of Chicago and our home is BCVs. We will be returning in late May and again in October with B&SIL's family.

We live west of Chicago and own at OKW and BCV (small add-on). We are going on the DCL cruise in two months and stopping for a night at HH on the way home.

Another couple from central Illinois who call BCV'S home. Unfortunately no trip home until October, but watch out WDW then.

We live in Aurora and own at OKW. Some years we are luckier than others...and this is our lucky year. We were there for New Years (stayed at BCV), I am taking my mom for 3 days this weekend (staying at BWV), will the at OKW the last two week of June, and we are going again for New Years. Isn't the flexibility of DVC great!

The first house DH and I bought after we got married was ON Summit, a few blocks north of 22.

We live just north of Chicago and own at BWV and VB. We used our points this year for the DVC Member Cruise and to send my in-laws to Vero in October. We leave for a week on the Magic on Saturday. We do have a trip to WDW planned for December, but not using points.

Hi my fellow Ill-A-Nois'ers! We own at BCV and made our first trip home in Dec, and just returned from an Easter trip. Our next trip is over Thanksgiving. By the way, we live in Homer Glen, which is just west of Orland Park.

My wife and I live in Naperville. Just bought 200 pts at BCV, closing in a matter of days. We are going Home in November for our 10 yr anniversary. We were married at Disney in the Gazebo outside the Yacht Club (stayed on the concierge floor). We were married in 93 just before the whole wedding pavilion thing was finished....What I see Disney weddings going for nowadays is unbelievable. We had Cinderella's coach, stayed a week in Disney etc, and spend maybe 1/3 of what people are paying today. We've been back numerous times, now have a DD4 and a DS (6 weeks-he hasn't seen it yet! ) and only WISH I would have bought DVC back then

Can't wait to go back!
