What about the kid who's only ordering the happy meal for the toy, but could eat something larger? Now they'll probably order a bigger meal without the incentive to get the portion controlled kids' meal.

Come on out - Kindergarten isn't mandatory here either.

California is a BIG state (like driving from New York to the Florida boarder) with a LOT of different ideas. I don't support this law in Santa Clara, but suggesting that it is a "california" law is just plain wrong (as in inaccurate)

Lived in CA once, San Francisco. Won't do that again. I'll take my hurricanes over your earthquakes any day. LOL

DH has worked for several companies in the San Jose/Cupertino area. He's a fan, I'm more of an East coast girl. But thanks for the offer!!

All I can see in front of my face is reality, which is this new law that prevents McDonalds from using toys to entice kids to pick their meals. If you think the parents are going to stop going to to these places because of this you are wrong. And those parents will just drive to the next county. It's not just the toy it is the ease of the FF places. There are parents out there that do not cook. there are kids/families that live on fastfood.
