HAS ANYONE ELSE EVER GOTTEN THE FEELING WHEN THEY RETURNED TO THEIR ROOM AFTER A DAY IN THE PARKS THAT SOMEONE HAD BEEN IN THE ROOM. SINCE YOU DON'T GET DAILY HOUSE KEEPING NO ONE SHOULD ENTER UNANOUNCED. WE'VE CAME BACK AND NOTICED LITTLE THINGS THAT MADE US BELIEVE SOMEONE HAD SPENT TIME IN OUR ROOM.MY WIFE ACTUALLY OPENED THE DOOR ONE DAY AS A MAID WAS PREPARING TO ENTER.MAID QUICKLY STATED SHE WAS COMING IN TO CHANGE OUR TOILET BRUSH, YES,OUR TOILET BRUSH.SHE LEFT FAST BUT STATED AS SHE LEFT HER NAME WAS OLIVIA,(AS IN THE CAFE-VERY COINCEDENTAL).WE REPORTED THIS TO A MANAGER AND THEY WERE BAFFLED.

Would you please type that without the CAPITALS, it makes it very difficult to read. It is also considered shouting. I don't care about shouting, I do it all the time, but the CAPS are too dificult to read.

"From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs", Karl Marx, pretty sick, huh?

Maybe Olivia has a fetish with used toilet brushes. Or maybe she is a good samaritan whos only goal in life is to rid DVC of dirty toilet brushes

Only once, and that was when our shower leaked onto the people below! Maintainance had to come in and fix our shower, and were there when we came back from the park.

Could you please turn off your caps? Thanks.

Well here is my 2 cents. I don,t care if I am staying at a DVC property or for that matter in any room that is "rented" by the day; IT IS NOT SECURE!!!! When any number of people have a pass key to your room you must use precautions. That is what the safe is for. You should never leave laying around anything of value. When you leave the room lock it all in the safe!

Exactly right about the safe...

I've always been impressed with Disney security and I've never had a problem... but that doesn't mean you should assume there will never be a problem. Much as we'd like the whole world to disappear when we enter the Magic of Disney (and it almost does), we still have to be smart.

And what doesn't fit in the safe, lock in your suitcase and put the suitcase key in the safe!!

OKW 01 can't wait!

Please note:not using caps,(while I'm on-line I'm also working, the work application requires caps at all times, just habit for me to not drop to lower case-sorry. Anyway,we never had anything stolen.Studios at OKW don't have in room safes and we do use lock boxes at front desk. However, there is a documented case of a couple who stayed at a similar class resort. When they returned home and developed their pictures they were horrified to see pictures of their toothbrushes sticking out of someone *******.an intruder in your room isn't always a thief.

I'm sorry that I read this thread right after eating lunch . . .

Maybe next time we should consider putting our toothbrushes in the safe, too.

LOL... the toothbrush thing is an urban myth. It is funny, though!

There's a good website at www.snopes.com that details urban myths - I always go check whenever I hear something I'm not sure I should believe. They tell you what is true and what is legend.

They even have a comprehensive Disney section! :D
