4 hoppers: using unused days from non-expiry tickets :woohoo:

Garden Grocer: $250
Misc park expenses: $100
Meals/food in parks:$150
Rental car to port: $30

7day eastern caribbean cruise for 4: $29xx - $300OBC 11B GTY
Cruise extras: $200

Gas: $20
Target groceries: $100
Studio @ VWL: 55?pts for 3 nights

ME to MCO

~$4700ish, but I think our park expenses might grow a smidge.
Having used park days definitely helps.

The aeroplan tickets are a major saver there too!

3 aeroplan: YHZ-YUL-MCO and then MCO-YHZ (direct!).
I watch the aeroplan site like a hawk about a year out and if I get 2 I feel lucky, but 3 is like hitting the lottery. :)

I've been checking every day for weeks now! I am waiting for flights for September to be posted. There are a bunch going down, but none yet for the day that we want to return.

We drive as well from Halifax. I don't know all the money details but we did write them down last trip and I believe in total we spent just over $700 both ways for gas/food/hotels for 3 of us. I believe as well that our trip in 3 weeks will cost about $2300 for 3 of us which includes staying at POP for 12 nights, park tickets, park hopper. We also have free dining as we are checking in on Dec. 3. We bring about $2500 in cash for extra spending money. If we leave on the 30th we will do the drive in 2 days and then stay at Old Town. We always come home with money but again im not sure how much. So our total trip would be $5500 (and im sure that would be less but im just giving a ball park).

Just found out that we only bring $1000 with us when we have free dining so that would bring us down to $4500ish.

Hi,
I think you're missing tips onboard ship, for your servers and room steward.
And if you're successful in keeping that daily miscellaneous spending to $25, I'll shake your hand.

Suspected this was weak .... :) Do you have a proxy for a per diem for this? Perhaps $50?

Here are our costs for our upcoming trip. Two adults and one teenager.

All costs include taxes, and are shown in the actual cost in CDN funds after being converted from USD, where applicable (except for the rental car.....have not paid for that yet so don't have final CDN total).

Park & Fly in Syracuse (December 30th)
$63.76 hotel cost for Holiday Inn Express
$35.00 for 7 additional nights parking at $5 per night
for a total of $98.76

3 return airline tickets, Jetblue (direct flights), plus 7 nights in a one-bedroom suite at Hawthorn Suites Universal (I-Drive) which includes a daily hot buffet breakfast and a nightly reception with food and alcohol - $1658.45

3 admissions to Discovery Cove on Jan. 1st with dolphin swim for each - $666.11

3 fourteen-day tickets to SeaWorld - free with Discovery Cove purchase

3, three-day park-to-park tickets to Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure through Undercover Tourist - $467.59

3 Gator Adventure Park admissions which include 18 holes of mini golf, admission to the park and shows, gator food, and a souvenir photo (one each per person) - $46.95 (purchased through Groupon)

8 games of bowling, a large pizza, and pitcher of beer or pop at World Bowling Centre - $25 (also purchased through Groupon, WBC is located directly across from our hotel)

1 night at Royal Pacific Resort (gets us unlimited front of the line passes at Universal for 2 days) - $221.55

Trip cancellation and interuption insurance, as well as emergency medical coverage: $158.00

Food: $1000 (this is one of our only variables, most everything else is already paid in full). We won't have to pay for any breakfasts as they are included at the Hawthorn Suites, and all food and drinks are provided at Discovery Cove.

Rental car: $258.53 USD (hoping to whittle this down a bit. Currently have an economy booked via Enterprise, and this has been the best I can find so far)

Gas for the week: $75

Theme park parking: $75

GRAND TOTAL: $4750.94

Works out to just under $200 per person, per day.

Our last trip was about $2500 for park tickets, airfare and hotel, we went in August so we had free dining plan and my DD was 9 at the time. We also took $1000 for misc items such as souvenirs and snacks outside of thedining plan. This trip my daughter will be $14 so the cost is a bit higher. We are going in October so the trip will be approx $3300 for airfare, park tickets, hotel and quick service dining plan. We will be taking about $800 for misc items.

Traveling from the Yukon is very expensive.
We have not booked anything other than our cruise yet.
Disney Dream, three people, four nights about $4200

Airfare for three will be at least $3000. Hotel for ten or eleven night will be minimum one thousand and probably closer to two thousand. I guess between food and spending money will be around three thousand dollars. Park tickets will be at least another thousand.

One way I actually managed to save money is on the car rental. I just renewed my truck insurance and added on rental insurance. This will save me around five hundred dollars, and only cost me twenty one dollars a year!

So with the cruise, airfare, parks, food, hotel, and car rental I am lookin at a bill of at least twelve thousand and most likely more!!!!

ouch!!

Dec. 14th-28th.

Airfare for 3 from western Canada to Orlando: $1950

14 nights at CSR, 10 day park hoppers w/waterparks, and FD included: $4713

3 passes to Seaworld: $225

Other expenses while there, other activities, souvenirs, food not included in FD, cabs, etc: $1500

Total: $8388

That $1500 could end up being less, but I figure it won't go over that amount. The FD really cuts back on expenses, last Dec the 9 days we spent at DW with FD we only spent about $300-$400 out of pocket.

Here's ours - just for comparison we are DVC so no free dining for us - and we're driving sooo.....

Dec 22-Jan 2 (plus 3-4 days of driving depending on the weather)
Travel - $800 (will cover gas, food, and 2 hotel stays along the way with some extra in case we need an extra night for bad weather)
Hotel - 11 nights at VWL in a one-bedroom (points covered this)
Food - We've booked all our ADRs and expect to spend about $2500-$3000 including some groceries for a few meals (mainly breakfast) in the room
Tickets - 3 10 day non-expiry PH and 1 DVC annual pass $1300 (bought tickets before they went up in price and don't plan on using all days so we can use these again on another trip)
Souvenirs and extras - $1500 (we usually bring about 1/2 back home but ya never know!)
Total: $6600

Not too bad...but looking at the restaurant menus I based it on having dessert or appetizer and enjoying a glass something more than just pop at every meal. I do tend to find we eat more the first few days and then really cut back (because we are too darn full!) towards the end of the trip. I think we'll end up spending WAY LESS on food than I have budgeted.

Here are some of our costs. Dec 29 to Jan 6

Airfare for 4 Westjet from Toronto to Orlando direct 2800.00
Car rental from Budget 8 days 530.00
3 nights Beach Club Club Level 1220.00
5 nights Vistana Villages 1535.00
Total 6755
used TD Travel Points -1000
Total 5755

Still have to buy park tickets of course!

January 8-15 2011

Roundtrip direct flight from Toronto to MCO for 2 adults: $598

7 night stay at POR Garden View, 6 days of regular park tickets for 2 adults, free dining upgraded to DDXP for 2 adults and disney insurance for 2 adults: $2545

Souvenirs/Misc. purchases: $25 per adult per day

Meal tips: $280 (estimated)
