I would have loved to have heard Mom Klose's dressing down - Al/Bob probably would have been happy with bloody stumps at that point. Let's just hope that Al/Bob has updated his resume. :rolleyes1

OK- who wants to meet Kevin's MOM??? She must really be something else! When you said she was going to get involved, I thought she was going to be all sweet and apologetic and smooth things over - but no! She puts the Al/Bob in his place! That was great!

I apologize for not knowing your mom's name, Kevin. If you've mentioned it before, I've missed it. Any chance she would do a guest spot on the podcast???
 
My Mom's name is Ann and there is little chance of her being on the Podcast.

She's still not sure that I have a "real job".

Someone elses Mom : My son just got Partnership at a big downtown law firm, my daughter just moved to back to Orlando to take a Nursing position at a childrens hospital. What Does your Kevin do, Ann?

Ann: Well, he goes to the WDW parks and Hotels and sometimes takes us to dinner and then he and his friends sit around a table and talk about it. Foe some reason, strangers accross the world listen to it. Oh, he also "chats" and leaves messages for these strangers on his computer. Now and again he goes on vacation and writes stories about it and puts it on the computer. I think his partner is a travel agent or something like that.
 
wow. I cannot believe this review.. honestly! It would be interesting to hear from anyone else who has had a negative experience with customer service there. just crazy. :eek: :scared:
 
Another week, another podcast, another reason for me to spit out my water all over my monitor with laughter... "Oh my GAWD!"

That review of the Captain's Grille was absolutely outrageous. We were looking forward to maybe checking it out (as Pete always says how much he liked it - before the name change) but I guess we will not be wasting our time there.

Big mistake AL... you just lost a lot of patrons.

I do not want to reveal too much of the podcast, but this type of service concerns me.

I am concerned because if I was a guest with my family there from out of town and we need to eat dinner, what do you do? If the server and manager act in this fashion, and it is at night, is there someone else you can speak to immediately?

What if you pulled your family out of the restaurant with hungry children and tried to track down the manager of the hotel?

You still have to eat somewhere, right? And if this is the first place you eat at during a week long vacation and you are staying at this Resort, what do you do for food?

I really hope that Disney figures this out because I would not only ask for a refund on my meal, but I would ask the hotel manager to refund part of my stay, because this type of service is absolutely not acceptable.

This is the type of event that could ruin a vacation, especially if you planned on eating there more than once. Would any of you go back during your vacation to eat there?
 
Kevin, I almost want to suggest that they send you to the worst restaurants on property just so they clean up their act(s)! I'm am chomping at the bit to listen ... but I have to finish work and get home before I can en-sync and listen :rolleyes: Work ... if I didn't have bills to pay...
 
My e-mail about poor service and food quality at Disney World was read a few weeks ago on the podcast, and although I appreciate Kevin trying to encourage me, what I've been hearing the last few weeks doesn't help. I couldn't believe my ears.
 
Yikes! We have a breakfast planned at the Captain's Grille on our last day. We might just tough it out to see for ourselves. But maybe we should try and get into CP. I just don't know now!

i think i remember you saying that your mom is afraid of going on a boat - or perhaps i'm confusing her with someone else..

but it would be really fun if you could convince her...there are going to a number of mom's on that cruise, so she'll be in good company....my mom will be there - and she's a hoot.....

as for the restaurant - i am in total shock....i've never eaten there, but i can't believe how you were treated (or the quality of the food for that matter)..
completely shocking....i've never had an experience that bad at any WDW restaurant......it shocks me to the core...
