Does anyone have their pets on either Marin or Zentonil? My husky has liver problems from his other meds so we're on these for the next 6 months. The two together are....roll drum....$90 every 2 weeks! I about fell over. This is in addition to the other stuff of course and the quarterly blood work.

Of couse I'm not complaining and would do it in a heartbeat, just venting due to the cost. If anyone has used either of these drugs and have any input on them please let me know. The vet said there was nothing notable.

Thanks!

Do you have insurance? We do for our Winnie. We call her the Million Dollar Dog for what we spend at her vet! But she is worth every penny and more.

Is there any way you could get the meds over the internet like on Drs.Foster and Smith's website? I have been on there recently because my dog has been diagnosed with arthritis in her hips and is on meds now. The prices for her meds are less expensive. There is a way you can have your vet send a prescription to them for the meds. It is expensive to take care of our pets but they are worth it!

I agree with the above post about checking with Drs. Foster and Smith website. We were able to get one of our dog's meds that way. I know what you mean about the cost of vet care. We are in the process of surgery for my dog right now. She has had x-rays and and ultrasound with surgery scheduled for Friday. She's worth it but gee it's pricy. As for the meds, I haven't heard of thos so can't help you. Hope someone can! :paw:

not to hijack but thanks for mentioning that website, it looks as though I can get my cats thyroid meds there a LOT cheaper than her vet's....now to see if they'll send in a script...

Why wouldn't they :confused3 I get our cat's Prozac perscription (yes, he's on Prozac :rolleyes2 ) from the regular pharmacy with a perscription from our vet. It's a LOT cheaper. Now if only they would write it in 90-pill supplies, I could get it even cheaper than that online.
