Does anyone know what the ILL cost will be for WOC and Fantasmic?

AFAIK no such thing has even been announced as happening. Did you see somewhere there would be an ILL for these shows?

LL (FP) will probably be back for Fantasmic and World of Color.

I doubt there will be an ILL, since the dinner packages tend to be the ILL.

Would be kind of funny if they cut out the food and charge people a $20 ILL fee instead, With this leadership I can see it happening.

Wouldn't they make less money by doing this? I'm sure some people mainly eat at the Blue Bayou just to get the center spot for Fantasmic. They'd happily pay $20 and do a quick service meal instead which would come out to like $40 instead of $65 + tip.

There were also days where I would have paid like $15 for dinner but was willing to get the Hungry Bear package for $30 because Fantasmic FP were all gone. I will never pay $20 for ILL to a show that I've already seen before but the dining package includes a meal is different from what I'd normally eat in the park.

The question is if the main Fantasmic and World of Color viewing locations will be paywalled by Genie+. If you look at reservation availability, you can see that Disney may be prioritizing Magic Keys over tickets now so it's possible they may try to avoid upsetting Keyholders too much. If the two shows are paywalled, a Keyholder may decide it's not worth it to stay in the parks till evening so they won't eat dinner in the parks. I'm already very frustrated by the fact that we have to make reservations before Disney releases important information like show schedules and details like this. If they add a paywall and don't have something like the Hungry Bear Package, I'm probably going to skip Fantasmic reopening and may stop going to the park entirely after April.

WDW hasn’t put any shows in ILL. Idk if DLR will give it a whirl but if they do it will be brand new to Disney so there is no way to guess what they’ll charge.

Personally I think they’ll stick with G+ for the shows.

There wasn't before. You had to obtain a fastpass and they ran out frequently. Without one, no entry to the viewing area. I fully expect these shows to be on Genie+ as the only way to watch them. There is a limited amount of space so why wouldn't Disney sell access?

I can see still needing a pass, but there still needs to be a way to see it for “free” after all you pay to get into the parks. Just my opinion, Doesn’t mean it’ll with that way.

I never got a fastpass and I always got into the viewing area. You can literally just walk right in in my experience.

WDW hasn’t put any shows in ILL. Idk if DLR will give it a whirl but if they do it will be brand new to Disney so there is no way to guess what they’ll charge.

This is where WDW has always beaten DL. Yes, you can pay a bit more for a slightly better seat at F! or Illuminations/Harmonious or whatever is playing at MK. But there are THOUSANDS of good places to view. At DL, pay double for an already too-expensive meal for a decent seat to F! or else be shoved to the sides where the views are garbage and kids can't see over adults. At DCA, pay royal for a box of old grapes and cheese, or stand in line for an hour so you can grab a standing room only spot for WOC.

Last time I went before covid closures was the summer when Galaxy's Edge opened. So probably around July 2019. My friends and I just literally got across the rope and sat down. No one stopped us or said anything. I didn't even realized the fastpass wasn't just to get into the area earlier 'till today.

To be fair, there were always sandwich board signs out during the day that said a fastpass ticket was required to enter the viewing areas at both WOC and Fantasmic. If you never saw those, you wouldn't necessarily know. They were usually gone by noon.

I'm guessing if a CM saw you, they assumed you had been seated prior and left for a bathroom break or something. But you wouldn't have been allowed to enter the official seating area entry point without a ticket.

I think the WOC fastpass machines are still there. I'm having a brain fart on that. They often have a Nick and Judy meet and greet there and I know there is a Pawsicle prop cart there, but I feel like the machines are still there and covered up. I'll have to look on Friday when I go back.

I agree the machines are the best option, but those also lock out anyone who arrives later in the day, and that was always a problem before.

My guess is that if they don't charge for it, they will create a separate section in the app to secure a spot with a barcode for entry. Or they could do a lottery or use the Boarding Groups/VQ feature.

This is exactly why I see them adding it to Genie+. Would love it to be free tho, I don't think they will because that would require an extra system to keep those and how does that work for ppl with Genie+? Does it count or not for their time windows? If it's free, I can see it running out a minute after park opens since it would be literally the only thing folks without Genie could get. What about DAS, does it count as a selection there? Getting a headache just thinking about the logistics haha

I rarely see a CM stop someone from going under the rope. I've had people squish into me from the back when they weren't supposed to far too often and other guests rarely make a scene about this. Since I'm typically watching fireworks from castle-front, guests do make a scene when someone sneaks under the rope because the rope crawlers are in front, rather than behind them.

I think the machines are still there but covered up as well. I don't think Disney will want to do lotteries because it'll discourage people from spending the whole day in the park and buying food. If you mainly care about World of Color and you know you have to arrive early to get a FP for it, you'd likely go earlier in the day and potentially eat in the park.
