My DD2 have been so excited that I just know when I walk through the gates of MK I will cry. Everytime she see's a comercial with the castle in it she screams with excitement about going to Disney. I can picture it now. I will carry her and go onto main street. She will see the castle in real life and freak. I know I will just cry seeing how happy she is and knowing we are finally there.

I'm not crazy am I?

ADD me to the list of cryers while reading the list. and i hate doing it with dh or anyone else around. I know i will be a blubbering mess the whole way to the world... i was all teary eyed watching the planning video. had real tears flowing then! its the memories the remembering of how magical the world is.... my mum took me for my first visit when i was about 6 or 7, and now she is taking me and my family for my kids first visit. it doesn't get better than that!

On our last trip, the moment happened with my ds who was 3.5 at the time on the monorail. He looked over and saw the castle and literally started jumping up and down -- he was so excited. My dd was just turning one last time and really had no reaction -- we will be going in November -- 3 weeks before her 3rd birthday. She gets excited every time a commercial comes on TV or I'm on the Disney website and she sees Mickey. I can't wait to see her reaction. I'm sure there will be tears.

Darn it people!!! I was just sitting down to get some last-minute tips since we leave in five days, and now I've cried and have to redo my makeup.

This will be my 5 year old son's first trip (as well as my mother's) and I just know I will cry like a baby. My boy is one of the most sensitive little creatures I've ever known and he is so excited. It's all we talk about. I cannot imagine how it's going to be for him to see that castle.

Are you kidding? I cant even tell you all of the times I cry in Disney... or even watching videos about Disney! Or thinking about it!

Im not a real crier but it means a lot to me. Seeing other peoples' kids makes me bad enough. I am going this summer with my family which means my sister, who will be 6 is coming and for the first time my brother, who will be 5 is also!

I can just see my family making fun of me now

I didn't cry when I saw the castle (we were too stressed by the time we finally got there ) but I really and truly do love it!! I cried a lot during Illuminations though - oh wow that really took my breath away and it affected all of us deeply. It certainly is magic. I can't wait to go back.

NO, YOU ARE NOT CRAZY!!!! I have two DS who are 9 and 5. We took our first when he was just 4 years old, and cried several times. I am expecting that I will cry this time also since my youngest has never been to Disney World before. I don't know what it is, but it is such a magical time! I don't know if it is the Disney songs they play on the rides, or just the look on my kids faces, but it is emotional for me. Maybe it is because we plan for so long and when we are finally there, it is amazing!!! I agree with the other posts, just take the tissues and have fun!!!!

Crying is normal!

Our first trip, we checked into the Polynesian and went to our room. (We had a "garden view" room back then). Well my wife and I must have looked strange to passers by as we stood on the balcony blubbering, "We can see the castle! We can see the CASTLE!"

I also got teary eyed when my 7 year old wanted to ride Dumbo with dad. Probably the last time he'll want to do that...oh hand me a kleenex!!!

I don't cry when I get there. I cry during wishes , and I cry when I have to leave MK on our last night. I hate leaving that place

Boy, you said it! Our first trip with our girls was in '97, and the last night in MK I just couldn't bring myself to leave! Our youngest was asleep in the stroller and we had a great trip, but it was so hard to say good-bye. I shed more than a few tears that night and started planning our next trip as soon as we got home!

I have also started crying reading this thread. DD6 & I are going to WDW for the first time in July. I have no doubt I will be crying, as I already have several times during the planning. We arrive on Sunday and Monday morning we have breakfast in the castle with Cinderella. I AM SO EXCITED!!!!! Can hardly wait to see DD6's face!!!

Okay I was fine until this post. DD has a "thing" for Peter Pan. When she got onto PPF for the first time oh goodness I'm crying NOW!!! It was truely one of the most memorable moments beside meeting the "actual" Peter Pan!!!

However I am a baller... I usually end up crying by the time I make a new ressie and the CM asks is there anything else I can do for you. I'm usually to choked up to say anything.
I try and contain myself upon check in so as I don't look to silly.
BUT... you'll know it's me when you meet me on our first bus ride over to the MK I ALWAYS loose it then!!!!

Not to mention while DD gets pictures w/ characters during fireworks, parades,rides,meals and everything in between.

Good point!! The first time I went I did 'tear' up, it was so overwhelming!! Our 2nd trip, I did get knocked over, did kinda change the mood!! lol

oh, and when I ran into Mary Poppins, I cried!! lol, my first movie at the theatre my grandma took me to see MP, and she thought I hated it, I didnt pay attention, then I started singing every song, and telling every detail!! (I was 3 or 4)

So when I was in Epcot's England store, and there she was!! I grabbed DD (no line for autographs) and everyone knew *I* was more excited... the CM handler took my camera and said "this is your moment" and she gave me time with Mary... very magical...

Ok, Ok you're making me cry!!! This reminds me of my DD's first time at WDW. She was two and my in-laws took all of us. They had to see a show and I was worried about missing the parade. We walked out of the show as the parade started. My MIL knew I was angry and a very nice gentleman said, "Let's get that little girl up front." There was DD near the street as Mickey came down the parade route. She screamed,"It's Mickey!"...ok..crying now.... I just welled up right there and that nice man knew he had made a dream come true. Kleenex break...

The next time we cried was 2002. That was my dd and mine 3rd trip to WDW, and my Dh's umpteenth time, our boys first time.
We had been running all day. We came around the corner by the castle and saw the Mary Poppins penguins! OMG!!! My DD has always loved penguins...you should have seen her then 17 year old face light up!!!
Just like when she was 2 and saw Mickey....oh my gosh people....I have to stop....I am going to lose it....

I am one of the worst "WDW Cryers" going. I cry at commercials, while watching the planning videos and after looking at pics. Everytime I walk onto Main Street, I start blubbering. My hubby and son always look at each other and one of them will say "Here she goes again".

I resemble that remark. My DD17 and I always cry when we watch the planning video, and we love the "we're too excited to sleep" commercial. I started to cry the other day when my DD said to me. "Mom, I think this is going to the our best trip ever!".
