I'll be spending 60 days this summer working at Fort Knox, KY

I will be staying the whole time at a motel outside of Fort Knox, KY, probably with no car to get around.

Should I consider driving there? It will be about 650-700 miles each way - my car has over 200,000 miles on it but it would be nice to have a car with me. I haven't driven that far in a long long time. Should I risk it?

Hmmm...not sure about driving your car here, depends on the condition of the car.

But, I will tell you that it would be nice for you to have a car so you could get out of Ft. Knox every once in awhile. Louisville is not very far away and there are a lot of fun things to do here!

If you think the car will hold up, I say go for it.
