I'll be rich - forever....

My mom and dad sat me down tonight and told me that I would be rich forever. I didn't know what they meant until they handed me a card that was opened already on the side.

I looked at the front, and it was a Christmas Card from my Grandpa Ted Kluge. But Grandpa Ted has been dead for almost 10 years now. They had found this card jammed down in the back of the couch and only saw it when they were deep cleaning the a steam cleaner. It must have gotten lost during present opening on Christmas Day.

There isn't a date in it, but it had to be from somewhere around 1992-1994. There was a handwritten greeting, and $10. It said:

Sending these Chirstmas wishes with prayers that your season will hold more blessings than you can count. (and also a very Happy New Year)

It was signed Grandfather Ted K. OX

They were right. I really <i>will</i> be rich forever.

That's a lovely little story - and what lovely parents to introduce the 'find' to you in that way.

that is very sweet
while moving ten years ago I found a couple of card my grandmother sent me 20 yrs before that or almost 30 years ago now
she would send a get well card if you were sick and missed school for more than 1 day
included in the card for a speedy recovery and love was always a
$1 bill
I felt so special when I found two of these cards that I had saved
a dollar was a lot of money to a grade schooler in the 70's so I am surprised I saved them
I felt so full of love that day with happy memories
