So the song says, but how many of us will this apply too?
What are your plans for the big day? Will you be home, or will you be away?

Next year we are doing the Disney thing in December, but we will still be getting home right before Christmas itself. This year we are planning a traditional Christmas day here at home.

It's funny how I still think of "home" as my parents' house when I hear that song -- but it's been sold. I wonder if the new owners would mind me coming "home for Christmas"! (I'll bring the mashed potatos!!) :rotfl:

You might want to watch Surviving Christmas with Ben Afflek first. He does that, and the results are rather interesting.

I'll be at my sister's Christmas Eve (she lives 2 blocks away) and I'm hosting Christmas Day. Yep, I'll be home, cooking!

My parents are brother are flying to Arizona for christmas so yes I guess technically I'll be home.

We will be at Disney!!! Last year we had to cut our trip short and be home for Christmas because DS was in a wedding but......this year Disney all the way!!

Dang, I clicked the wrong one. We will be going to disney from 12/19 until 12/25. We will be driving home on Christmas Day. So, for part of it, we will be in disney, for the other part we will be on our way home :teeth:

Be home for majority of the day, then the rest at my dad's which technically is still home.

I'll be home, meaning my new home in Florida. A lot of relatives always ask if we're coming home for the holidays and we tell them we're staying home. They just don't get it...

This year my daughter and granddaughter will be coming here and last year we went to Epcot, which is where we will go anytime we don't have someone coming here. If they're here long enough, we may still all go to Epcot for the day.

No more New York Christmas (or any place else up north) for me, ever!

We'll be home. Both kids and their attachments will be coming here :)

I'll be in my town, going over to my DFi's parents' house and my grandparents' house, where the rest of my family will also be gathered. :)

We are going 'home' to my parents house in Massachusetts. We still consider MA to be home.

Yup, staying home, as always!

Well, wait. "Home" is just the city...we're going to his parents house, about 5 minutes up the street.

Wow, I just saw in your signature that you are originaly from Taunton, Ma. I lived many years in Norton. I went to a small private school, and many times we went to the Taunton Boys club for basket ball practice.

Well, so far it appears that most of us can sing right along with old Bing "I'll be home for Christmas, you can count on me, please have snow and mistletoe, and presents under the tree..."
or to use another song:
"There's no place like home for the Holidays"

Because of our work lives, and a work conference which takes place right after Christmas, my DH's family has adapted to destination holidays that follow us to the various locales where the conference is held.

This year, though, my DH's brother is newly engaged, so we compromised. The destination for this holiday is Tuscon, near her family, and we'll be there between 23 December-Christmas Day. On the 26 DH and I are flying to our conference in Philadelphia and staying there until New Year's Day. I won't see my family at all.

We are staying at home. We go to my parent's house on Christmas Eve and cook dinner on Christmas day.

I'll be home- nope
I'll be away- not really
I am sure- for sure
I won't be at Disney!!!!

I won't be home.. but then again.. I won't be away.. I'll only be about 5 miles away from home.. so it's not really going away. And surely won't be at Disney! And I very sure of it!

My brother and I both spend the night at our parents' house on Christmas Eve, so we'll both be home. :goodvibes
