I'll be away most of the month...UPDATE-I'm back

...DH is standing here waiting for me to shut down so he can unplug my computer & move it. Tomorrow we have to rip the carpet off the steps & then they'll start repairing the wall & painting. After that, we have to wait for them to lay the carpet - but that won't be until the 20th & 21st. Since we have nowhere else to eat or sit & watch TV, I can't imagine we'll leave the furniture packed away until the carpets come. I may get a chance to pop in for a few minutes now & then if I'm somewhere that has a computer, but I don't know.

I am sooo not looking forward to this. I can't wait until it's all over.

ACK! Going cold turkey from the DIS is a terrible thing! DH left his laptop home this morning & will be back for it in a bit, but in the meantime I'm coming back to check in.

Good news - they've moved up the carpet date to Monday the 11th, so hopefully things will be back to normal the end of next week. The landlord said it would be back by Weds, but he didn't see how far behind the painters are. That one wall (the one repaired last winter) just isn't holding the paint. They're on the 4th solution to the problem this morning...keep your fingers crossed that this one works!

I've missed you this week. I'm off to see what you've been up to.

Surprise! Surprise! They came in today to fix the paint where the carpet guys messed it up and about 1/3 of our furniture is back! Of course, first on the list was the dining room table & then my desk & computer.

I should be able to get here everyday now...I just need to make sure I spend time unpacking all the little stuff every day and not have it take weeks. LOL

Now to catch up!
