Okay, okay -- you guys were right! Crocs rock!

I got my first pair this week (Caymans) and wore them all day today. I was walking constantly on gravel for about 6 hours (at a plant nursery) and was amazed at how comfortable they were! Like walking on squishy marshmallows.

I have significant foot problems (had surgery on the backs of both my heels 25 years ago, and since then, ongoing foot problems), so I was skeptical that Crocs would work for me. I had to switch to all "backless" shoes several years ago due to my foot issues; the rubbing of a regular shoe on the back of my heels causes inflammation and pain. Caymans are great! I did wear them with the foot strap behind the heel (wasn't sure if it would bother me, but it was just fine).

So, all you skeptics out there . . . I say, give Crocs a try! I'm now a believer!

Amen! ::yes:: :worship: :worship: :dancer: :dancer:

I also have to admit that I too am a Croc convert. I tried them on several times before my recent trip but could not see what the big deal was. Well, by day 2 of our lastest trip my feet were killing me. I too like the OP have had foot problems. I broke my foot a few years ago on wet leaves. I have had problems since especially with a lot of walking.

Well, I finally decided to buy a pair at the World of Disney store and have have not taken them off since. Well, maybe to sleep and shower.

I have 2 pair of the disney crocs and am going to try the maryjanes next. Can't wait to try them!

I got my first pair a month or so ago and I'm loving them too. Can't wait to give them a try at WDW.

I tried on a couple of pair of Crocs but they didn't seem to fit me quite right. Either too big or too tight and uncomfortable. I did then try on a different style of Air walkers, much like Crocs, and the style is like a shoe top made of light leather that ties but the rest is the very lightweight material like Crocs and I love these. They stay on, don't wiggle around at all and are soooo light and comfy. It felt like I was wearing weights on my feet before when I put these on. I may have to try the Disney ones on when we are at WDW in June.:cool1:

I got my first pair last year and they are by far my favorite shoes in my closet (and I'm a girl, so I have a lot of shoes)! I was just reading the OP's post and I saw how he/she? described Crocs as "squishy marshmallows." I usually describe them as "fluffy clouds," :cloud9: but I like the marshmallow description better... lol! :rotfl:

Me 2!
I used to think they are the ugliest things ever.
But I finally broke down and bought a pair, when everyone was raving about them on the boards as best as wear in the parks. I still think they are ugly as heck, but oh boy I wear them everywhere now...

I ordered a pair for myself for Mothers Day. I can't wait until they arrive.

BTW... how much do they cost at World of Disney?

I love my crocs.
My sister came to visit me. She was laughing at my crocs, I told her to try them on and wear them around the house. She fell in love with them...she bought mary jane...she loves them...now she going to buy more.

It is really nice when your back don't hurt. I can't wait to wear them at WDW.

One thing they tell you on the Crocs Website is they should be one size larger than your regular shoe size - that way your foot kind of floats in the shoe. It feels weird at first becasue most of us are not use to wearing floating shoes! :thumbsup2

Well. my crocs came and went. I wore them around the house and tried so hard to like them. They weren't uncomfortable, but they weren't fabulous either. All I kept thinking was my feet are so much more comfortable in my keds flip flops and they look cuter too. I even exchanged them for a bigger size to see if that was the problem to no avail. It looks like I won't be a crocs convert. (My three year old does love his though!)

I almost bought my shoes over the internet, but was unsure what size I should get, as it was not obvious considering the size I normally wear (9.5). I'm glad I waited to buy mine in person at a Croc kiosk. The woman recommended I actually go smaller (I think the 8-9), b/c the next larger size was way too large and looked funny/enormous. At first it felt funny b/c just the tip of my big toe seemed to touch, but when I wore them (and believe me, I WORE THEM) they worked perfectly. If you have beautiful, petite feet, going bigger might work, but going bigger for me, felt too weird/uncomfortable.

My twin boys had their pair for our recent May Disney trip, my husband the attorney and super picky, fancy dresser bought a pair and loved them more than his sneakers for our trip. And even 68 y.o. Grandma bought a pair so she could fit in with the family, but then discovered to her delight how GREAT they were to her feet. One day of our trip she tried to switch to "her comfy shoes" which hurt her by the end of the day.....and she was back to her Crocs.

My boys adored them (and the jibbitz) and even though they didn't get their shoes until the day before the trip, they never got a blister and walked around alot considering they were only just 3.

I am a TOTAL CONVERT, and can't wait to try the Mary Jane style.

I, too, am a Crocs convert! Because I have wide feet, shoe shopping is a chore, and I assumed finding a pair of Crocs would be difficult. The beach style Crocs don't fit my feet right, but I did buy a pair of cleos. I love, love, love them!!!

:cool1: My daughter and I LOVE our Crocs! Her feet and mine are about the same size so we trade Crocs depending on what we are wearing! :yay:

Same here! I thought (and still do think) that the clog-style ones are just plain ugly...the Mary Janes are tolerable in appearance but slipped right off my feet (although my two DDs have them and love them, as does my sister and my Grandma). I tried the Athens and Ithacas but the piece that goes between your toes was too thick and really hurt...ordered some Capris but they're still on backorder. I was beginning to give up, but then earlier this week I found some Cleos in chocolate brown and pink and decided to give those a try. I LOVE THEM!!!

They are narrower than any of the other styles I tried so my feet don't slip out. They don't seem to be as thick on the bottom as some of the other styles but I've worn them all day for two days in a row and my feet feel great. In fact, my Mom, who hates all things Crocs, saw me wearing them yesterday and thought they were cute so she tried them on...and guess who just went online and ordered not one, but two pairs of Cleos? :rotfl:

I have tried out several other styles and other brands of shoes to be my main WDW shoes, and I am totally in love with the Cleos. I'm going to order a pair in black and charcoal so I have two pairs.

Love them!

I have also broke down and gotten a pair. Now, I want more. :rotfl:
Had to go into our local Dick's Sporting Goods Store to try them on the find my size. DS6 also wants some, so, I made him find his size at Dick's also.
We have to order them online, no where around us has much variety. :confused3

When my flips flops broke broke unexpectedly in the mall parking lot, I gave and bought myself some gold Mary Jane crocs. Man, I can't imagine my feet without those things!

My step daughter is OBSESSED with her crocs. She wears them non stop. I got us matching pink Disney crocs to wear on our disney trip this August. I just can't bring myself to wear them though. They are so wide and clunky looking. Even my SD's are much wider than her Cayman's. She doesn't like them as much. I'm going to get her a pair of mary janes. I know she'll love them! I think the capri's are cute, but $40 for a pair of flip flops seem a little insane when I absolutely adore my Teva mush and can get two pairs for the price of one pair of capris.

So my step daughter is the croc convert in our house. they ARE comfy, but just too ugly for my taste!

OK, so I pretty much live in my Athens on the weekends, and sing their praises. I now know that I could never do WDW in them, though. I wore them all day yesterday, walking around the outlet mall, 1+ miles with some standing. My feet hurt and my heels felt like they had been almost rubbed raw. This morning when I woke up, my anke was sore.

This has made my decision for me. Tennies with good socks for me! I definitely need the ankle support.

I'm glad that they work in the park for so many of you, but sadly, I don't think that I will be crocing it to florida. I could probably only do them at DL b/c it's a smaller park.
