Okay, okay -- you guys were right! Crocs rock!
I got my first pair this week (Caymans) and wore them all day today. I was walking constantly on gravel for about 6 hours (at a plant nursery) and was amazed at how comfortable they were! Like walking on squishy marshmallows.
I have significant foot problems (had surgery on the backs of both my heels 25 years ago, and since then, ongoing foot problems), so I was skeptical that Crocs would work for me. I had to switch to all "backless" shoes several years ago due to my foot issues; the rubbing of a regular shoe on the back of my heels causes inflammation and pain. Caymans are great! I did wear them with the foot strap behind the heel (wasn't sure if it would bother me, but it was just fine).
So, all you skeptics out there . . . I say, give Crocs a try! I'm now a believer!
