Yeah, it IS funny. At least once he's out of BCT, and moves on to his job training, he'll be able to wear his own glasses again. I think. But at least this way, I don't have to worry about him breaking his good ones.

Kind of quiet on here lately. Just came back from a weekend trip to the Pocono Mountains with some of our cruise friends from the last cruise. Had a ball! I am still amazed that one week of togetherness on a ship (or less) and you can become such good friends. That's Disney for ya!

Photobucket...yes, I still use them and I should switch....is changing things, so I'm having trouble getting a new picture of Jared to post. Ugh.

Anyway, he's doing well, and I seem to be surviving him being gone. It's going to be a long, quiet summer, though.


This is him doing some training....and he said he's top of his platoon for marksmanship. I'll spare you the pictures of him coming out of the "gas chamber", they're kind of gross.

Jared is so grown up Stacey! Dale graduated from A&M in December. Really proud of him as he graduated Magna cum laude and carried in the flag for the college of business he got a job in Everett WA working for Boeing.

Ashley is in first year of college and doing great. She made the deans list the first semester and has her conference championships next week for swimming

I booked a cruise for May 17 2014 on the fantasy. Hope things work out that we can go

We have a friend who's been with Boeing since he returned from the Marines and Viet Nam. Long time! But he lives and works for them in Thailand. I imagine he's about ready to retire.

I can only guess at how PROUD you are of both Dale and Ashley!! They're awesome "kids". I still have trouble thinking of our DIS kids as being adults now. It's mind-boggling.

We should all congratulate ourselves and eachother....we raised a great new generation!
