il Mulino rave

We snagged a same-day reservation at il Mulino because italian just sounded really good and our girls (11 and 13) are old enough where they can appreciate these kind of places. We're pretty picky about meals when they're that pricey, and it was PHENOMENAL. The service was outstanding, loved the atmosphere, and the food was really, really incredible.

I had to remind myself to come here to post this because I rarely take the time to pass along good reviews for some reason! But it was 100% worth the visit and short drive over to the Swan. 100% recommend.

(as comparison, we ate at Trattoria al Forno a few visits ago and....never again. I think it's what had me hesitant to try il Mulino which makes zero sense, I know.)

FWIW we agree that Il Mulino is the best Italian restaurant on property. Being local we eat there frequently.

We eat at Il Mulino on every trip, sometimes twice. It's definitely our favorite restaurant on property.
We do also enjoy Trattoria al Forno and eat there frequently as well. While we've never had a bad experience at Trattoria, Il Mulino is definitely on a whole different level.

We had the insacatti misti to start, and I had the tortellini alla panna. I almost licked the bowl.

In my family's opinion, all of the eateries at the Swan/Dolphin are better than Disney owned restaurants. Il Mulino, Shula's, and bluezoo are all outstanding....and The Fountain has much better ice cream than B&C.

Good to hear that you enjoyed the food! Haven’t eaten there yet in Orlando but have at home. Truth be known I rarely eat Italian cuisine outside of NYC as it’s so easy to get.

We lived in NYC for years....that's part of our bratty attitude about some places, including italian ones. you MUST go there. Promise.
