Need my pasta fix while we're there. Which would you recommend? We will not be on the dining plan if that matters.

Thanks.

Doesn't anyone have an opinion? There must be some of you who love italian food.

Well we have a Il Mulino here in NYC and it is very good. I have heard the food is as good as nyc in WDW but never been.

I am trying Tutto in June.

People have been raving lately about Tutto and reservations seem to be going like hotcakes. However, it is a little pricey (just a little) so not being on the dining plan might be a factor.

Haven't been to either yet, but glancing at the menus (and noting where the restaurants are located) I'd give a healthy nod to Il Mulino.

We have not done Tutto yet- but we love Il Mulino. The reviews for Tutto have been excellent so I think either is a winning situation depending on where you are going that day and if you want a park experience or more of a fine dining experience.

I may be wrong, but I didn't think Il Mulino is on the dining plan, so your only option would be Tutto Italia.

You're right, Il Mulino isn't on the DDP but neither is the OP. ;)

I said Tutto was a little pricey earlier, but I see that both restaurants are priced about the same. So, never mind that part. :thumbsup2

sorry about that.. morning brain... Anyway, since you WON'T be on the dining plan, I'd go with Il Mulino. I was underwhelmed with Tutto..... Bucca Di Beppo is better!!!!

what did you order, jel0511? We've loved our meals at Tutto and find the cuisine a world apart from Bucca. The draw there seems to be size of the dishes rather than quality.

We haven't dined at Il Mulino yet. Not big S/D fans for one thing.

tinkandpan, what did you enjoy at Il Mulino?

I had the sweet and sour meatballs for an apetizer and the Tagliatelle Egg Pasta for my entree. The meatballs were just o.k. I make better ones and I'm not Italian!!! The Tagliatelle, came with a meat ragu and it was disgusting!!!! It was pasta floating in a fatty, beef mixture, with no sauce whatsoever!!! I sent it back and got the Pasta Caprese, which was much better, but my stomach had lost it's appetite from the previous disaster. It wasn't just me, the lady at the next table ordered the same thing and it looked the same. She just picked at it and ate from her kids and husbands plate.

Thanks for the reply, jel0511. Now I know what not to order in May!

We have only have not enjoyed one thing... thought their osso bucco was very disappointing. Their cheeses are amazing, as are their little amuse bouche's that they put out. Amazing beef carpaccio, usually order whatever pasta special is going on- they make a great veal chop as well. The portions are wayyy too big so consider that when ordering - and if they have their special langoustines (sp)for the evening, those are to die for.
