Il Mulino NYE Menu

I made a rez for Il Mulino since we had to change our trip last minute and there werent many dinner options available. I was just looking at our confirmation and it looks as though they will only have a limited menu on NYE, does anyone know if this is correct? Unfortunately nothing on the menu is what we would order.

From 7:15 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., Il Mulino will feature a preset menu. Preset menu only Adults $135.00 and Children 9 and under $40.00.

So I am getting conflicting info. When I look on opentable to see what other times are available, it shows that the preset menu is optional. However, I emailed dining@swandolphin and they advised that any rez after 7:15pm is only able to order off the special NYE menu.

I think I'd trust the info that came directly from the Swan and Dolphin dining email. Special menus only are not uncommon on holidays. Maybe something will open prior to 7:15 at Il Mulino or perhaps there will be some availability at another spot you'd enjoy. If you haven't already, you might consider using one of the dining reservation finders. Touring Plans has one you can use after creating a free user profile; there are other paid services (google is your friend). They don't make the reservation for you but you input the desired date/time/restaurant/party-size and the service regularly checks the Disney system for openings that fit and notifies you when it finds something. It's then up to you to log in and book it. Hope that you find something that works for your family and have a Happy New Year!

Yes, you have to eat the preset menu after 7:15. We did the early seating at 4pm and we are able to order off the normal menu.

And not there. We had dinner there a few weeks ago. Food was good but service was positively frantic. The waiter acted as if he were being chased or in some kind of race. It was kind of unsettling. At one point, he raced over and quickly filled my daughter's Sprite...with water. We felt so bad telling him what he just did as he looked like he was about to go over the edge. Everyone seemed like this. Plates were served as if they were being timed. Talking really fast. Like I said, food was great but for the prices want a less frantic experience. This was a regular night, I can't imagine how stressed they are on NYE.
