Call us old fashioned but we believe in dressing up when we go to a nice restaurant. We're thinking of possibly going to Il Mulino next week. Do folks dress nicely or do they just wear theme park clothing typically? We don't want to look like slobs but we don't want to be ridiculously overdressed either.

I've seen both in there. Especially if there is a convention going on, if that is the case you will see many guests in suits and ties or dresses, and if there is a convention event, maybe dressed up more than that. But you will also see park attire. And some conventions seem to be fine with polos and khakis for its attendees, if it's a convention like that, the restaurants could be a sea of polos and khakis and convention lanyards.

Bottom line, there is no need to worry about what to wear at Il Mulino.

Agree (again) with TDC Nala. The dress code for Il Mulino is very open.

We've eaten there 3-4 times in the past couple of years and have seen a wide range of attire. You'll see park attire, convention going attire, and even "I'm going out partying after this" attire.

The only thing I have seen not allowed there is a sleeveless shirt (not tank top, just sleeveless).

I don't think that you would feel out of placed if you dressed up. Most people at the Swan and Dolphin restaurants do dress for more than just the bare minimum requirements. You'd be among friends in a jacket and/or tie.

The dress "code" at Il Mulino is the same as for all Disney Signature restaurants.

As has been noted, if there are conventioneers there will be more true business casual than theme park attire.

I must confess tho that I've never seen anyone at Il Mulino in a jacket and tie---most conventioneers will shed those as soon as they can!!!

I agree. We've dined there well over 10 times, and have seen a total of 5 jacket/ties (of which 3 were in a larger party, possibly convention or work related). Have seen several sports coats though w/o a tie.

My motto while on vacation at WDW is:

"Why wear a jacket if you don't have to??":):)

I totally agree, even at Disney. We eat late in the evening, no ADR's before 8-8:45, done with the riding etc., showered, shaved (as needed) and dressed for dinner. And that goes for the kids as well! They've (DS16 and friends) been traveling with us for many years and they know to bring a nice pair of kahki's and a polo for the evening meal!

I don't too much care what others do but these are my requirements! We dress for Il Mulino!

For V&A, I would have DS pack his sports coat!
