Anyone here used the Ikea kitchen cabinets for their home? I am looking to having my kitchen redone and I am going for a quote tomorrow.

i put in an Ikea kitchen 2 years ago and love it. I live in an apartment in the city and I like the modern streamlined style. I bought way more than I needed but all were returnable. I bought 2 different cabinet fronts to try out. The upper cabinets are not standard size, I think they are like 15 inches deep vs. typical US is 13? Anyhow that was important for me because I have a galley kitchen, that extra 2 inches on each side was claustrophobic, luckily my contractor cut them all in the back for me. A lot of the upper drawers have slant sides to fit their own silverware trays, which was fine for me because I like their inserts. However I had trouble finding organizers to fit the junk drawer, so now my junk drawer has a small 1/4 gap on the side. (i use that space to hold notepads)

I have them since 2016 and I love them. I bought during a sale event, used their services and also their installers. All worked out great no hassles.

Yes, just finishing our second Ikea kitchen. Love it.

The first was in our previous home where we did major renovations (moving walls, windows, all plumbing/electric/gas) so I was able to design everything exactly the way I wanted it. We did not live there nearly long enough to enjoy the kitchen.

Our current house (in the process of moving out this week) has way more expensive cabinets. The kitchen is very large and nice (the reason we selected this house), but it has honestly been a disappointment since the day we moved in for the last 5 years we have lived here because I prefer the Ikea. I miss the ability to customize everything, I miss having large drawers instead of lower cabinets, the corner cabinets are all wasted space, and I miss the satisfying feeling of slow-close on everything.

We have spent the last three months renovating our "downsizing" house and just finished the kitchen cabinets last week (counters, backsplash, and sink not yet installed). I am so excited to have an Ikea kitchen again. Even the kids have been commenting about it because they remember having the features in our previous house.

Both times we built and installed everything ourselves. It is very easy. I actually put together all of the cabinets for our new kitchen myself while my husband has been working on other aspects of the renovation.

I used Cabinets to Go and they are great. In fact it has been 7 years and they look as good as they did when I purchased them and I am a very obsessive and picky person . All wood, dovetailed drawers, soft close and guaranteed. My contractor tried to get me to buy the IKEA b/c he likes them but I got two to try for my laundry room. He saw them and was convinced. Each time he comes to my house he always says...those cabinets were a gift they are so inexpensive. The only drawback was that they did not had only the basics. Currently they have upped the choices. I got all the bells and whistles that they had including the dental moulding. It was a 7 ft penninusla, 72 in island and another 12 ft of cabinet up and down. 5000.00!!!
