II trade to d'Ile de France?

Has anyone traded through II into the relatively new Village d'Ile de France near DLP? If so, how was your experience, did they have transportation to/from DLP, to/from airport etc? What size unit (how many points) did you have to trade and what type of accomodation did you get, how many beds, etc.? Was it a hard trade to get?

I haven't been there, I'm sure others have. But I did do an II search only today for that resort and other Marriott's in Europe. That resort was available for a fair chunk of time over the next year.

Looks nice! The website does not mention anything about transportation, but it looks like the hotel is about 5 km from DLP. You can take a DLP bus (for a fee, can't remember how much it is) from the airport (Charles de Gaulle) to the train station (which is walking distance from the entrance to the parks), then could take a taxi to the Marriott. Similarly, you can take a train (RER) from central Paris, and do the same thing. I would think that the Marriott might have shuttle service to DLP, but it is not clear.

I know that, but I did call MS, gave them the II code and they said I could trade to it. Also, my cousin works in commercial travel and will be going onthe trip with us. She may be able to get a really good cash rate through some sort of Marriott program for TAs...we haven't explored that option, yet. It may be better than using points.

Depending on when you're going, they sometimes have some really good cash rates. I checked on it for a possible March/April trip (didn't happen), and they had a rate of 100 euros for a 2br. I think it came out to about $150 after conversion to US and what I assumed would be a 17% tax.
