II exchange to Vermont

My family and I are interested in spending a week at the Trapp Family Lodge in Stowe, VT in summer 2007. We would be using our DVC points to do the II exchange for the week. I am interested to hear any experiences you may have with this resort or any diificulties with the exchange process at this location.

Can't help you with the exchange process but we have friends that own a week there and they absolutely love it!

I can't speak to this location specifically as we have not been there. TUG has reviews on this resort which are fairly favorable but not world beaters. There is a week there right now for the first week of June as well as a number for off season time. If you start a search now for other times, you should have a great chance of success for all but likely the 3 weeks around 4th of July and even then you'd have a chance.

I don't know anything about the villas, but I stayed in the lodge for a conference last summer and it was great. Make sure you try out the main dining room. The food is excellent.

We stayed in the "villas" before. They are a 2 story townhouse that has a unit on the top & on on the lower level. They have a small kitchen, wood stove insert in the fireplace, 2 BR (each with own heating unit), and a bathroom. The view is beautiful- rolling mountains. They have lots of activities, indoor pool, movies at night....and a wonderful bakery. We love the rustic woodsy feel of the place.
