Thinking of doing an II trade to one of the European ski locations. Has anyone been to any of them? Any info at all would be appreciated. Thanks!

Not I, sorry. I did do some snooping around and it appears the resorts are niche resorts, somewhat older but with personality. A couple did seem to have ski options either cross country or downhill or both. They are accessible through II and through BVTC but the rules and availability will be different. They are mostly 4 star european hotels and since the european rating is lower than the US, that should lower expectations. At least one is on the BVTC list but not the II list suggesting it might not be up to the standards of the rest. I looked at TUG but only one is reviewed and that was in 1996. You should post on TUG to see if anyone has more knowledge. They do look like interesting options. I wonder if one could make a "single reservation" that included multiple hotels to get only one exchange fee through BVTC.Cordial's website Geo Holidays website which includes most or all of the Cordial choices.

Thanks, Dean. I need to do some homework. Appreciate the guidance. We are interested in downhill skiing in Europe, and thought that this would be a good way to do it. Looked at some of the websites, and the accomodations look decent. I think that the way I might approach it is to see which ski area looks best for our family, and which is most accessible from an relatively- easy-to-reach airport. I'll let folks know what I find out.

That'd be great. I looked on tripadvisors.com and the ones I could find rated/reviewed were done so positively. You may want to print out the names and go to the bookstore for some research. Do remember that some of these are listed differently in some places so it's also a good idea to look around the internet for variations to make it easier to find them.

Also talk to MS exchange department. This is one of the situations where they will likely have more info than almost anyone else. They may be willing to send you additional info including copies of reviews members have done, they've done so a couple of times in the past. None are 5* with II but they should also be able to give you the internal rating info for these resorts. I did look on Timesharing Today and did not find them rated/reveiwed. Another place you might find access to these resorts is through Dial an Exchange, you may want to talk to them as you might get the resorts much cheaper though it'd only be a week at a time like with II.
