My husband & I bought an older 3 story home last January that we absolutely love (about 1400 sq ft including the finished basement) it was completely gutted and remodeled before we bought it and the only problem we seem to be having is heating/cooling. We have a gas heat pump and its so hard to keep the house warm and our gas bills are rising. In the summer we had the same problem even though it has central air that is less than 2 years old. We had a heating/cooling guy come out before our home warranty expired and he couldn't really find any problems... after Thanksgiving we bought energy efficient curtains for the entire house, and it doesn't seem to be helping at all.

A co-worker of mine told me about the iHeater, I had not heard about it, and another co-worker of ours apparently got one and loves it. I just looked it up and just wondering if anyone had one. I found mostly positive reviews, and a few negative. I've never ordered something like that before, and don't want to be stuck with something that was $300.

We bought a Honeywell heater last night at Walmart and it works wonders for heating our bedroom at night... but if we could get something like this iHeater claims to do for our main level (living room/dining room/kitchen) it would be amazing!

here is what I am talking about for anyone else that

I had thought about buying the iheater also but 90% of the reviews I read were not positive. They said to go buy a 1500 watt heater at walmart and it would do the same thing for a lot less money. I guess it would be the same difference because you are just heating the space you are using at that moment. I actually seen an iHeater at a dealer's store and it did feel ( heat supply) the same as a regular space heater. The ads are really good though makes me want to buy one! Ha I don't think it would be worth the money though. Last year they were $479.00, this year they are $279.00 without the cabinet and $379.00 with the cabinet, I bet this fall winter they will be cheaper. Also they are not very big. Maybe 2ft tall 2-21/2 ft long. I was really surprised when I seen it. Hope this helps!

I have also heard they are nothing but an overpriced space heater. I would get one that looks like a fireplace with a high output for half the price.

thanks!

I finally talked to the co-worker, and she has the heat surge, not the iHeater :P so I wasn't even looking at the right one!
