Seriously though, last time I stayed in the 600 loop, right across from the bus stop, and thought the buses were loud. Aren't the trams even louder?

True! But, then again, being one with a very loud, leg slappin' laughing style myself... I love hearing folks whoopin' it up and havin' a good time! (As long as it's BEFORE we get the kiddos to bed.)

Here are a few pics from the 1975 archives.....

First up is a pic w/Mr Smee. I am on the left, two family friends on the right. Gee whiz! They even dressed me in loud plaid! ....and knee socks. I don't understand how the Sea World Tee fit into the outfit.

The OLD rockets. I'm the one squished in the middle.

Who remembers the Fantasy Faire behind the Dumbo ride? I was among the kids who were brought up on stage and paraded through the crowd. Sadly no pics of that, but there's a bad video w/no audio.

A shot of SM w/the skylift passing by. I hated riding those, but I do miss watching them go by. I don't know where KFM took this from.

Wow, our clan sure made a fashion statement at WDW! Even KFM is sporting a odd type of plaid!

Notice the last half of the first paragraph....Hmmmmmm the Fort has the highest rate of repeat guests does it? The higher ups should revisit that thought!

They sold rain jackets back then in '77....AND they came with a hat!

KFD's fave WDW pic of all time! You're in good company Dave...KFD loves Ms. White too! Says she's still "The fairest one of all!"

The background on these are proof positive that you could, in fact, rent sailboats. Note that KFM actually has sailboats on her shirt. The KFK family fashions are just a gift that keeps on giving!

I do, indeed, remember this stage located just outside what is currently the entrance to Ariel's grotto.

TCD got to visit WDW just a few times as a kid. I believe my first visit was in 1975. I distinctly remember sitting at one of the tables near this stage eating lunch. A different stage suddenly elevated from the ground, and there were the Aristocats jamming out just as your photos depict! This was the time of the Banana Splits television program, and I think this was Disney's response. As far as I know, the Aristocats were not a rock band in their movie.

I remember being amazed by the whole thing- especially that the stage just elevated from the ground and the performance began without any introduction or fanfare.

I know I have mentioned this experience on another thread, but I have never seen photos of this. But, it's exactly as I remembered it.

In the movie the Aristocats did have a Jivin' Jazz band tho. "Everybody Wants to be a Cat" was the Jazz song and the finale of the song the jazz band fell through the floors of the building they were performing in.

I haven't seen the movie in years, but I remember this, sad isn't it? I really need to get a life. Now if I could just remember where I put my keys ...
