Ignoring comedy sketches.



I have to take DS to the doc this afternoon. His ear was hurting this morning. I looked and the whole thing is red and swollen with a black mark in the center of the swelling. I asked if he fell or hit it on anything. He said he fell yesterday and hit his ear on the carpet, but it didn't hurt. That doesn't sound bad enough to make his ear look like it does. DH had me call the doc cause he's worried about a spider bite. The nurse thought it sounded strange. At first she said bring him in, then she said we could watch it and if it gets worse or becomes tender to the touch to bring him in. It's already tender to the touch, so we're taking him in. Better to waste our time and copay to find out its just a bruise than to wake up tomorrow with it much worse. It's just weird.

Maybe some wind and rain, but that seems to be about it, for now. Let's hope it's nothing more. Working in lower Manhattan is like working at the bottom of a bowl. If we ever got a good hit subways would flood, streets would flood and I would have no way out. At least if I'm home I could get in the car and drive to Pennsylvania.

Now factor in the fact that PK'sMom is a size 22. That poor turkey won't be paddling anywhere. Matter of fact, I don't know that you'd even SEE the turkey if I was sitting on it.
