Hi all! Had a busy weekend! We got our new bed delivered in NJ; but didn't get to sleep on it yet. We came back to NY Saturday night because yesterday was DH's birthday and we had a 2PM Broadway show to get to. Wanna see any pics?

OK, PK you have to get an alert if it's going to be funny enough to make me laugh hard, which is still pretty painful for me. I was doing okay until I got to the "Jerome, here's one for you."

Seriously, I can't believe a grown up would say out loud we're not sharing information for a damn Disney bus. Classic.

Glad you and Snap enjoyed, although I'm sorry if it caused you pain. That guy was an idiot. I knew his name and where he's from because when I went back up to board the bus, his luggage was next to him. I even know his last name. I feel sorry for his wife and daughter. I felt justified in acting like a butthead 'cause he did first. You get what you give in life.

Snap, looks like you had a fabulous time. Hope DH did as well and enjoyed his birthday. And BTW, nice new bed!

PK, forgot to ask, how was the Wishes dessert party this time? I know you loved it last time but now I want a comparison opinion.

It was nice. Don't think I'd do it again though. More people this time. Last time they had the dessert and drink tables set up on the same level as the "people" tables. This time they had the dessert and drink tables set up on the upper level. Much better because there was room to move around and people weren't trying to squeeze between those tables and their own tables. The lighting was also much better on the upper level so you could see the desserts better. However, moving the dessert and drinks tables left room for more "people" tables below, which tended to make the ledge crowded during the fireworks. People also seemed to be in a snit because they didn't realize they'd have to stand for the fireworks and because of the overhang. I would recommend everyone do it once. It's great to not be squished on Main Street or in the Hub. However, we only did it again because my mom was sick last year and didn't get to go. Hope that helped.

We were never squished on Main Street for the fireworks. The first night we stopped in Fantasyland. Parts of it were already roped off for the fireworks. The kids were able to walk onto the Carousel 3 times in a row because no one was there. We were right next to Dumbo when the fireworks began. We ended up almost getting whiplash from looking back and forth at the fireworks that went off in different areas, near the castle and on the other side of Dumbo. It was still fun, though. The next time, we stopped next to where the dessert party is held. There is a little cubby type area with rocks in front of it. We sat in there and had a wonderful view without standing up. People lined up behind us. It seemed like a great spot. Definitely less crowded.

Our first night at MK we actually watched the fireworks from the bridge near Splash Mountain. There were some trees in the way, but it was still nice. We were also fortunate enough to catch SpectroMagic on a night where they were showing it twice. Walked up Main Street about 10 minutes before the parade and got curb side seats! That was the night the MK had EMH until 3 a.m.
