If you've recently purchased a resale: What price is passing ROFR?

Just looking over a few of the resales available, and we were wondering what price per point Disney is currently allowing to make it through ROFR. Anyone have any ballpark ideas?

Julie

We recently purchased an OKW 150 point resale with banked points. It passed ROFR at $69 per point.

This is a great question... I was wondering the same thing:confused:

Passed ROFR at $70.00 per point in March for the BWV. All 2003 and 2004 points were intact. (August use year, 160 points)

We paid $74.00 a point for our 300 contract at the VWL, and we had 600 points available to us right off the bat at closing due to banking ... very cool and great timing as well. We also picked up this years dues.... it took us less then 2 weeks to pass ROFR

I don't have the answer to your question, but I spoke with DVC today & mentioned the SSR resale for $78, I was told that it would not pass, but who knows???

This is a GREAT question!!

Closing tomorrow on 200 BCV points @$76. Had all but 14 of 2003 & 2004 points available. We paid 2004 MF and closing cost. I know price is a bit high but it was the only BCV contract available at the time with any banked points. We are planning a Sept trim to WDW so we didn't have time to wait for a better contract or take any chances with ROFR. I was told today that this should close tomorrow and we will probably be able to make ressies by the end of the week. The entire process has only taken 27 days so far.

We are thrilled!!!

2 BWV contracts, closed in April and then again in early June:

>> 350 points at $72 pp (all 2004 points available as well as 225 banked points)

>> 270 points at $74 pp (all 2004 points available as well as 80 banked points)

Didn't think we overpaid until I read the prices that some of the other BWV and BCV contracts passed with!

We're using the banked points to go to OKW (waitlisted at BWV) in October for 8 days -- basically a "free" (and I use that term loosely) vacation!

We purchased 200 pts at BCV in May @$75/pt. 133 pts. available for 2004 and Feb. UY 200 pt. due in 2005. Paid maint. on 133 pt. for 04. We are very happy with this deal and have already made ressies for Nov. '04. Whole process took about 1 month.

Additional interesting comment: we received a call from QA at Disney yesterday asking if we were happy with our membership and verifying that we had received our membership cards and guidebook. I called back and informed them that we had not yet received either the cards or book and he was surprised! He will be doing a followup and advising us. I was impressed!

Just passed ROFR last week.. OKW 300 pts/ March use year... all 300 pts from 2003 banked into '04, all 300 point from '04 available, all 300 points coming in '05...
70$/point... Yeeeehaaaawwww! Now we have to use 600 points between now and March and then still have 300 for next year... Oh the humanity!

We just signed a contract for 250 points at OKW for $67 -- most of this year's points borrowed. I'm keeping my fingers crossed -- we've been waiting for years to do this!!!

We just purchased a 150 points at OKW in April for $70/point had all of this years points included.

I would hate to see this resale pass. I mean, the resort isn't even sold out yet, so why should the price be lowered. It would bring everyone's value down who purchased at the higher price.

Paid $68/point at OKW with about half the 2004 points intact. They paid all 2004 MF though.
