if you've called Disney to ask if you have a PIN code...

I'm just wondering if there is a better (ie, quicker) number to call than the 407-W-DISNEY? Also, do you just say "do I have a PIN code offer?", or do you wait for them to mention something?
I want to find out if we have anything for promotions before I book through my grandfather's timeshare.

Thanks!!

I have done it few times. I just simply come out and ask if there is a pin code attached to my name, and ask if they wouldn't mind checking. In my case I have never had one, but I have read others on the dis have called and asked this same question and they got one. :woohoo: I guess it all depends....

No, I don't think there is not a quicker # to call. I know it seems like a pain to go through the twenty questions to ask one question. I feel the same way.

I hope you get some pixie dust sprinkled on you when you call! Let us know what they said...

Last summer I called SEVERAL times ( every couple of days!) and asked about a pin code. I tried to sound as happy and nice as I could could on the phone! The first few times the CM's I got looked and said sorry no codes. I thanked them and hung up. Then I got a few that refused to look for me- they said they had no way to look up that information. I said thank you and hung up.

Finally after about a month one night I called again and the first CM would not look. I called right back and got the same response. I called again and this time ---I GOT A PIN CODE!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was for free Dining.
So basically my advise is what does it hurt- make a few calls and maybe you'll get lucky!

So, what do you think happened in your case? Did the Cm just find a way to "give" you a code, or did your name just happen to pop up with one the 4/5/6th attempt you had to check?

See, there is more to these pin codes than we know. I think cms have the ability to give you one.

I called and asked the CM to check for a pin and he said he would and nicely chatted asking me what I was looking for. I explained to him we booked BB FD at CBR and we love it but really wanted to try a deluxe for a few days. I told him I had priced it online but it was very expensive. He then said we had a 40% off pin code for WL (which was the resort I told him we were interested in staying at).

I know for me I called to book rm ressie, was going to use aaa rae and CM said u have pin code with ur name so I asked which was better ( pin code) and than asked if i could apply that to my jan ressie also.

I never even thought of calling and asking. I just thought that they were only for people who acutally get the mailings or emails and what not. Have to try that next time I get to go to Disney!!!

I called last week to see if I had a pin code. None for me. I will need to try again.

Hmmmm... we are planing to go in July- wonder if I should call back and see if I can get a better deal on my room now. We already did the give a day, get a day. Anything to make the trip a little cheaper! :goodvibes

Called today for about the 5th time. Wanted to verify a couple of things and had them check for a pin. Very nice CM this time who knew what she was talking about for once. She said she saw a pin but put me on hold to check it. It wasn't free dining but it was better than nothing...20% off.

This even further makes me think that a CM can add a pin if they want. I have never gotten anything in the mail or my email.

Omg this is going to be so hard not to call and pester them now I want a code so bad, I want free dinning whine whine. lol

I broke down and called today- first time calling and nothing. No idea if it is in their hands or not. As long as they have this unpredictable system with some getting them and some not, they will keep getting phone calls from a lot of us I guess....:snooty:

I have no idea. I just know that I danced around my house like i had won the lottery!

I had done everything I had read on here to try and get a pin code. I called once to see and was told nothing. I kept checking my email every morning and about 3 weeks ago I got the 20/30/40 resorts pin. I was so excited. Now I'm not sure if I want to use the pin or try renting DVC points:confused:

Not to steal this thread, but do you only get a pin code if you have stayed on property before?

I have & use regularly the Disney visa, have purchased park tickets from Disney fro previous trips. Have ordered the planning DVD from Disney, even registered for the free bthday admissions last year (but didn't go) I but have never actually stayed on property. Is there a chance I would have one, or do they only give them to repeat guests??
