I've been reading a lot of threads lately about husbands or other family members just not getting WDW..not happy being there..making others miserable and it made me really sad...I spoke with my husband who was assimilated  a few years ago.. And he's like..well have they been here, have they done this...

Seriously, WDW has so much to offer..what is it that they don't like?? I love Disney but will admit 7 days at magic kingdom could do anyone in..

Here are some suggestions you may not have tried

Germany Biergarten... Oktoberfest setting... Liter glasses of Dark Beer. German Beer drinking songs.
Rent Fishing boat at Yacht/Beach Club, Contemporary.
Rent Mini boats
Dolphin Encounter @ living seas..Scuba diving/swim with dolphins
Richard Petty Driving experience
Innovations in Epcot, Design and ride your own Rollercoaster (New)
Downtown Disney West Side - Cirque du Soleil (sp?) or House of Blues
ESPN Zone in Boardwalk Area.
Big River Brewery in Boardwalk Area
Dueling Piano Bar or Dance Hall in Boardwalk area.
Great Places to get a Steak...Yachtsman, Le Cellier

Anyone want to add to this...

A requirement for my first trip was golf.
The golf both on and off site is amazing:worship:

If it wasn't for golfing I would never get my DH to WDW.:thumbsup2 I swear he has golfed all over the Orlanda area and beyond.;)

It's not that he hates WDW but he can only take it in small doses (once a year) and it is not his favorite place to go on vacation (Hawaii is his favorite).

Cruises are another type of vacation that he does not really care for but will do for me every once in awhile.

Actually, my dh would much rather stay at home so he can golf, fish, crab or go shrimping. He's just an outdoorsy kind of guy

My husband is not a pool, golf, themepark person. He prefers just hanging at home. .There is nothing I am doing or can do that will change it.I won't even try anymore. He is willing to go with us, and does not make a big stink about it.He has some fun, but it is obvious he doesn't get it and would gladly stay at home.Part of my successful marriage is not trying to change someone or force change on him.

My DH has never been to WDW but already knows that he hates it. I guess he went to DL for 1 day when he was 22 (1st and only time) with a guy friend while he was in in LA and he thought it was cheesy. So he assumes that WDW will be awful. Right now, I'm counting on him changing his mind because he generally loves amusement parks and rides and he'll really love to see the expressions on the girls faces. Just in case, though, I'm also doing some other things for him.

- I made a reservation at Biergarten even though I don't think *I* will like the food. DH loves beer and sausage though and specifically asked to eat there.
- Ressies at Sanaa and The Wave for grown-up meals that DH will enjoy.
- Limit of 2 character meals.
- Preliminary research on rides I think he will like.
- Chose a Resort that he would like (CSR - more adult looking, queen sized beds)

If he doesn't like it, next time he can stay home or golf or something.

My DH has been to WDW several times and says he NEVER wants to go back....so happily I leave him at home!! The rest of us have a much better time without him!!

My husband is not a big Disney fan at all. He will join us for a Disneyland
trip about every 3rd trip.:sad2:
But, our trip to WDW in 2005, he said was one of his favorite vacations !
He loves to eat, and does like that the kids are older now and enjoy all
the fun, crazier rides.:scared1:
One good thing about him not being a big Disney fan, is that I get to
plan whatever I want for our March trip ! :rolleyes1

Browsing in all of the gift shops, lots of Photopass pictures, matching t-shirts, strict itinerary, and It's A Small World. ;)
