what will be the first thing you think you'll do? Do you think you'll get right on DISboards to congratulate your political buddies? Do you think you'll feel conciliatory towards all those we've argued with these past months? Will you offer an olive branch or happily gloat?

If your candidate loses, how will you feel towards the other side?

I am very anxious this year! I am just hoping it does not take 6 weeks to figure out the winner again! I will find solace in the fact that Hillary can't run for 8 years if Kerry wins. I will have to change my deductions to help absorb the tax hike that would happen.

If Bush wins, I will breathe a sigh of relief!

no differently than i do now.

the firs thing i'll do? probably go to bed since i have to get up for work the next morning. :p no matter who wins, i'm sure i'll be making snide comments to dh. :p

The first thing I'll do is make breakfast for my daughter, get her ready for school, drop her off and head to work -- just like I always do ;)

On the flip side...;) I will know that if Bush wins HC will run.

Yeah. In that case, the next one could be very entertaining.

HA! I see it now Gulliani VS Clinton. It will be interesting to say the least. I will bet will have a voter turnout of epic proportions.

I have enough faith in our fellow Amercians that the right one will be chosen, whether or not it was my choice.

I feel sorry for whomever wins. They are going to have a rough four years. If we keeping beating up the office of the Presidency, we are going to break it down into being just a "figure-head" with no respect whatsoever to whomever holds the office.

I will try to find a silver lining as they say. Theresa Kerry will provide comic relief I suppose.

If Bush wins I'll cry or have a nice stiff drink. If Kerry wins I'll relax.

Do you think you'll get right on DISboards to congratulate your political buddies?

no because the DISboards doesn't matter. Why would I congratulate members of the disboards?

Do you think you'll feel conciliatory towards all those we've argued with these past months?

Wellll I don't think I've argued with people much over the last few months so why would I be conciliatory? I expect those who have been way over the top will continue to be so...and I expect them to gloat...whichever side they are on. There are a few men on the boards who have opinions that I'll be interested to see what they post... I could be wrong about them being guys but I don't think so.

Will you offer an olive branch or happily gloat? Niether...I'll just hunker down and watch the fur fly...and plot how to make money on the new President-elects administration...and in the case of Bush figure out what I have to do to protect my rights.

If your candidate loses, how will you feel towards the other side?

I have always liked conservatives with common sense...so anybody who questions the current fiscal policies is good in my book. And just as a reminder folks...I believe republicans will hang on to their advantages in house and senate and I believe one party government to be a bad thing...Kerry in office will put checks and balances back in place...because the republican party will check him whereas Bush and congress are failing to check each other.

I can't see Giuliani making it through the Republican primaries...he is way too liberal.

funny i thought the same thing about bush. look where it got us.

as for guiliani, imho, he will never run for president. too many skeletons in his closet.

More than the Clintons? I hardly think so.

I gues then we'll be stuck with her.

Depends on when we officially find out. Either way, after voting, I'll likely go home, have some dinner, play with the kids, put them to bed. Watch some shows that I have Tivo'd as it will be election coverage all night and how boring is that???? If we know by 9:00 PST, then I'll flip back to Tivo and finish watching with DW. If we don't know until later on, I'll find out when I wake up. Then I'll make breakfast, help get the kids off to school, then head into work. Just like any other day.

I lived through Eisenhower for 3.5 years, Kennedy for 2+, Johnson for 6+ Nixon for 6+. Ford for + Carter for 4, Reagan for 8, Bush for 4, Clinton for 8 and Bush for 4 so fare, and not noticed it having much impact on my day-to-day life.

Not sure why I would congratulate anyone on the disboard either way. I don't feel any of us will have had much impact on the outcome.

No need to extend an olive branch either, as I'm sure the election will not end differences of opinions.

The first thing I'll do no matter who wins is find all the demographic information I can find and study it like crazy. Why? I'm a hopeless nerd who finds "who votes for who" incredibly interesting. Other than that, it'll be business as usual.

Really? It is my FAVORITE thing to watch, election results coming back. We're having our neighbors over for steaks on the grill, we'll watch all night. :D
