If you were wondering about the difference between the double dips

I looked at the double dip cruises for summer of 2019 on the website this morning. I can get a 4 night in a 5E room leaving 6/19, 7/3, or 7/17 for between $4180 and $4236 (2 adults, no OBB or insurance or transfers).
Going to a 5 night on 6/23 would be $4508 for a veranda room (5688) but no 5E rooms are available. There are also no aft rooms on the 6/28 5 night. I know, I know, that could change as courtesy holds expire in a few days. Or maybe not!
a 5 night leaving 7/7 and getting a 5E room on deck 9 would cost $4918, so almost $800 more than a 4 night. Extended room would be $4938 if we sailed 7/12.
FWIW, a room with a big porthole would be $4818 on that same sailing, so not enough of a price difference to downsize to that. Undersized verandah would be $4858.
Looks like a 4 nighter for us! We will just make Nassau our "sea day", since we also have to pay for airfare, etc. and we are going to WDW in March to take our grandson for the first time.

The only thing that makes me sad is that at least for this year, Palo brunch is only offered on the second Castaway day rather than Nassau day. :( (I asked on the meet threads for the same Castaway/Nassau/Castaway itinerary) I’m hoping enough people complain about that this year they change it. I do not like the Sophie’s Choice of a birthday at Serenity Bay or a birthday brunch at Palo.

Well I will be at CC on my birthday this year on the 3 night Fantasy cruise! On our last cruise CC was terrible monsoon rain, and the last cruise before that was 2004, so I can't understate how much I'm looking forward to it!

Yeah... That is the only reason I would want to book brunch - it would stink to not be able to get to Castaway AND not have the brunch booked. Maybe I will just get the latest brunch I can...have the morning on the island. Or just forego brunch :( :( :( but do Palo dinner for birthday night.

I don't think $800 for another night is bad though? paying $4236 for 4 nights you are averaging over $1000 a night. So the average per night on the 5 is less. Unless I am reading wrong.

We just booked the 4 night holiday thanksgiving cruise for Nov 19, 2018 on the Dream double dip. Blacked out for OBB discounts.3426.38 cat 11c base fare and taxes only. I do think it’s high..For 2 adults.
