the Holiday Tour with preferred parade seating, or the Fantasmic seating? Trying to decide which the kids would enjoy more and which would save more time. They might be a tad bored during some parts of the tour, but I think they would get a kick out of singing carols and the hot cocoa mug. WWYD?

I would do "F".

I think you meant to say, "splurge" and I agree that Fantasmic dining would be your best choice!

Fantasmic, definitely. :thumbsup2

(Oh, to not have to stake out a seat hours beforehand! The dessert tray would just be an added bonus!)

man thats a hard one for me...I dont know about the previous posters but I have done both and more than one time AND during the holidays....everybody knows about F! but one thing thats great is if you do the 9pm one then you stay for the fireworks AND the snow comes right down on you...I swear I bawled like a baby when I did it...On the other hand, where they seat you for the parade seating was awesome too...they put you right where the parade route starts so you get first seeing of all the floats and characters and they really are in character in the beginning...they all seem to stare and wave straight at you instead of everyone else...also you get a commemorative christmas pin which you cant buy at any of the stores and of course you get the hot chocolate in the christmas mug and a HUGE gingerbread man cookie...I really loved that too...so sorry to say I cant be of any help on this one cuz i ♥♥♥ both:goodvibes

Yes, I mean splurge, and maybe I need some coffee:rotfl:! It won't let me edit the title, so spurge it is! We have never seen Fantasmic & my kids don't remember the parades at all (they were very young last time), so either one would be a new experience. I'm just not sure about standing in line for so long to be guaranteed a front row seat at F - my kids hate it when there is a tall grown up sitting in front of them at the movies, so I think a front row for F is a must if I'm forking out the $ for it. :confused3

you know Ive heard people saying that but Ive never experienced it...I usually go over there the day before Im doing it, during the time someone is at the podium checking people in and I ask them what time they usually have someone there to take names down for priority seating and they have told me in the past what time they open but you have to ask them what time THEY will be getting there so you can be like half an hour earlier then surprise you are first in line or at least close enough to sit in the front:woohoo: i know im not making this decision any easier on you:rotfl:

If I had to choose...F! without a second though! :) It's so nice to sit and relax while watching and the dessert tray is a nice extra. :)

I would do the parade. You get more bang for your buck. The tour is fun. My kids loved it last year. They were 10,8, and 7. We are doing it again this year. You get to walk on hmh, iasw, and the train and then you get great seats at the parade. Also, you get a cookie and hot cocoa and a pin. We also got a pass to walk on any ride we wished.

We did fantasmic seating once. We enjoyed it but I felt it was a lot of money.

So my vote is for the tour!

I agree with Disneymom23. Fantasmic is neat but it's the same thing, really, year-round. The Holiday Tour is much more fun for the season you'll be there and the parade viewing is AMAZING!!! We had cushy chairs, and many of the characters in the parade would come right over to us and say hello, high five, etc! We got right on SWHoliday, the train, and HMH. We sang carols, drank cocoa and had a giant cookie, plus we got a neat commemorative pin and a special holiday mug (plastic, with holiday character pics) to take home. At the end of the parade, of course, was the snow! I thought it was awesome.

Fantasmic is also more expensive, at least for anyone with an AP, AAA, or Disney Rewards card! Both F! and the HT cost $59, but with the cards mentioned you get 20% off on the tour, and nothing off on Fantasmic. That makes the tour $47 instead of $59 for an adult.

Hmm...really considering the tour. Is that pass for any ride good on Nemo or just FP attractions?

Holiday Tour for sure ~ we did it last year! (won't be doing it this Dec. just 2 days and they're both CM party days) we've had good luck seeing F! using the Light Tower Trick ~ we've seen it 5 times this year - most recently last month!

We too got the special pass, but apparently not every tour guide gives these. Ours was for any ride except TSMM and one other (can't remember what--probably Nemo) for up to...I think it was 6 people. That was last year.
