If you were ceo of Disney world what would you change?? I would eliminate "pixie dust perks". free dining, celebration buttons, mailings and bring back one trip one resort price and dining prices for each restaurant consistent regardless of the date!

I'd eliminate the dining plan.

I would add awesome child swaps for all thrill rides. Disney could learn from Universal on this one. And the child swaps would have movies or small play areas while people wait.

I would add more splash pads, misters, etc for people to keep cool. Disney lacks on this compared to other parks.

Speaking of splash pads, I would add those and maybe more tunnel play areas for kids. The type of things that you don't have to wait in line for and the kids can burn off some steam.

I'd add another dessert wishes party area. It's wonderful to sit down and eat during fireworks, but it's SO hard to get a reservation.

I would keep the FP return time set (where you can't come back late), but I would extend it to 2 hours.

I would add a job where CMs just make a little magic happen in some form or another. Living here, we have had so many little things happen (my son getting almost a whole roll of stickers, a free ice cream bar when he dropped his, etc). But it doesn't happen every visit. I would like to see the magic happen more often to people. Not so much for us, but for all the people who come to visit on vacation.

I would add the same soda fountain systems they use at the water parks to all other parks. They still get their money for the drinks, but people can get their own. I've noticed lines for those are significantly smaller. Then people wouldn't get over heated waiting for drinks.

I would limit stroller and ECV use to those truely in need.

I would update Epcot's future world.

And since I am dreaming, I would add more thrill rides, or open a another park with them. We live here and have AP's to Disney, US, and Sea World/BG. Disney is my fav because of the magic and theming. My older kids and DH love US, SW, and BG due to the thrill rides. Not that Disney is hurting for business, but they are missing out by not having enough.

Since my chances of being appointed Czar seem to be running out, I guess CEO would be the next best thing. I'd:

1) Keep Early EMH, though eliminate Evening EMH and bring back E-ride nights.

2) Get rid of the dining plan and bring back some real package discounts like the old Fall Fantasy package.

3 In addition to the existing FP system, I’d have an ultimate FP available for all attractions for on property guest who want to pay extra.

4) Make sure that the food Price/Quality ratio is always equal.

5) Concentrate on improving and upgrading existing attractions which include, but not limited to the following:

MK:
Stitch
Carousel of Progress
Speedway
Buzz
Tom Sawyer Island

EPCOT:
Captain EO
Figment
Ellen

DHS:
American Idol
Indiana Jones
Great Movie Ride
WD One Man's Dream
Magic of Disney Animation

AK
Kali River
PrimEvil Hurl

The absolute first thing I would do is completely revamp the entire Disney dining program.

1. Eliminate all current dining packages in favor of a wider variety of affordable restaurants.
2. Bring back real hot dogs and buns.
3. Eliminate the concept of "signature" restaurants. Every one of these was a much better restaurant before they came up with that marketing ploy. Let the restaurants make their own reputations based on good food and great service at fair prices.
4. Provide a lot more breakfast options in the parks. Too many restaurants that used to serve three meals a day are now serving only lunch and dinner, and some only dinner.

There is so much that needs to be (and can be) done to improve dining at Disney.

Parks: All parks would open earlier. It just makes sense to be open for the cooler hours. Ticket prices need to be reviewed and lowered.

Resorts: Folks are expected to pay way too much and Disney is driving more and more people off-site where they can get nicer accomodations for less. If those hotels can do it, so can Disney.

Quality control would be of utmost importance in all areas.

I'd maximize profits, because that is my fiduciary duty to my shareholders.

To do this, I'd probably increase focus on some of the other revenue channels for Disney Corporation, including our sports networks (ESPN) and try to pick up a couple more film studios and distribution networks on the cheap.

After reviewing the market research, since I don't know if my assumptions are correct, I'd build a park in South America (probably Brazil, since it seems to be the most stable economy) and increase our focus in China. I would NOT build a fifth gate in Orlando; the return on investment just doesn't seem to be there when there are billions of people in the rest of the world who would patronize a park I opened closer to them but will never come to Orlando.

Since I assume you're asking what I'd like to see in the parks, however, I'd add a few more countries to the World Showcase (India and Brazil holding the most promise, I think), add additional resources to Epcot, since I feel it's getting a bit tired, and completely reinvigorate DHS, much in the way they did with DCA out in Anaheim. I'd also continue adding to AK, as we love that park. I don't know whether these things are profitable investments, however, so they are my wishes as a lay person and may not emulate what I'd do as CEO, when my duty is to maximize profits.
