Within reason, say you were an Executive Imagineer at Disneyland and you had the power to create new rides/lands/shops/restaurants and/or remove any of the existing ones to replace them with newer/better things, what would you do to the parks?

:wizard: :3dglasses :grouphug: :clown: :hippie:

Me, to start: (My DCA overhaul)

1) I'd replace the lame "Monster's Inc." attraction with ExtraTERRORestral: Alien Encounter (classic attraction from WDW).

2) I'd demolish all of "A Bug's Land" and replace the entire area with a massive mountain based on NorCal's "Mt. Shasta." It would be a full blown E-Ticket attraction with all the bells and whistles and attention to detail you'd expect from all the classic e-tickets. I would make the entire structure big enough to house a very nice, very atmosphereic (equal to Blue Bayou in ambiance) restaurant, as well as an appropirately themed shop. The whole thing would all be contained inside the "Mt. Shasta" structure; ride, restaurant, shop, and all.

3) I'd demolish the soon-to-be "Goofy's Sky School" as well as the surrounding area, and replace it with the "Western River Expedition" attraction (meant for WDW that never was) and theme the whole area around the Gold Rush of 1949.

Let me just say, if these changes took place in real life, I'd be sprinting over to DCA, eager with anticipation. :worship: Well, those are my three for now to get the ball rolling. What about you?

Feel free to critique any ideas and suggestions you read in here.

I would keep The Bugs Life area. DCA doesn't have a lot to offer for it's youngest visitors, if Bugs land went away, it wouldn't be any fun at all for them.

I'ld like to see a makeover for adults. Put it in the Hollywood backlot section. Guest could get makeovers to look like Clark Gable, Ginger Rodgers, Maryiln Monroe, Elvis, etc.

Well, as it is now, there's really not too much to do in A bug's Land. I mean, besides the 3D show, it's just a big space with almost nothing of importance. I'd definately use that space for something much better; something to really pull people into the park.

I think I'd create a "Pop Culture Parade" starting in the 20s (nod to Walt) then moving up through the 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, and ending with the 00s. It would start in the Hollywood area and make it's over are the lagoon, and then end over in opposite side of the park.
