If you want breakfast & lunch......?

in one of the seated dining rooms vs. going to the buffet @ Topsiders, do you have set times to go based on your early or late seating assignment? Or can you go whenever the dining room is serving? We are currently wait-listed for the early seating and I wondered what late vs. early does to the other meals besides dinner.

Also, do most of you prefer the buffet @ lunch & breakfast or do you like being seated and ordering off the menus?

Breakfast and lunch are just served during set times. You can check your daily navigators for those times. You can go anytime within that time frame without a reservation.

They have set times that they are serving breakfast and lunch, but you can go at any time during those times. DH and I chose not to eat in the dining rooms for breakfast and lunch, as they would want to pair us up with another couple. They wouldn't let us have a "table for two" so we always went to the buffet. The food at Topsiders was great, we were never disappointed, and we could choose our own table, indoors or out, and not have to worry about other people sitting with us.

We are not big breakfast eaters so we get a continental breakfast in the room and get some fruit later. For lunch I always check the posted menu outside and then decide if I want to eat in the dining room or Topsiders.

thanks a lot for the great responses. Now you've got me excited about going to the buffet & being able to eat outside (weather permitting)! How relaxing & great that would be--unless it stimulates my appetite too much, which would show up so badly later in the swimsuit! Ha!

Penny, that is what the deck 4 promenade is for......walking off all that good food....ok I have never walked it all off, but some of it, anyway!!

We never once made it to any of the dining rooms for breakfast or lunch except for our Character Breakfast which was in Parrot Cay. I had not thought of that until just now, but for breakfast, I ran up to Topsiders every morning and made us a tray that I brought to the room. We sat on our verandah and ate. It was pure heaven. We ate lunch outdoors at Topsiders every day we were on the ship at lunch time, except for the day we had brunch at Palo. Being able to be outside for meals was one of the highlights of the trip for us.
