if you waitlist for add-on points, after 8/4 do you pay $89/pt?

i forgot to ask my guide this earlier today.
i was wondering if anyone else has checked with their guide about this.

if your Use Year is currently sold out at all current resorts, and you decide to get on the waitlist in case any new points come in from ROFR or from people changing their minds...

when 8/4 rolls around, do you have to pay $89/pt to add-on at the old resorts w/ an expiration of 2042?

(yeah, this is horrible that i'm thinking about adding on again )

Not sure if this helps, or not - but there is <i>sort of</i> a precedent in this...

If I'm recalling correctly, I believe that, during the BCV presales, there was a price increase. Several people here on the boards were not able to finalize their purchases due to the delay in their state's approval for the sale - I think it was New York state.

Those individuals were able to get their purchase at the "lower price" - due to them requesting the points prior to the increase.

It's definitely not the exact same situation - but maybe it will help...

The NY issue was a special situation where the points were available and the registration was in the works. You will pay the then current price of (?)$89 if you get the add on after the price goes up. There is a lot of precedent for this. That doesn't mean there won't be special incentives for certain resorts that end up giving different prices but it won't be cheaper for one person than anothe based on when they got on the wait list.
