If you stay off site, is it worth it to get park hoppers?

We were there in June 04 and the park hopper option came in handy. We ran into some nasty thunderstorms during our trip which made it impossible to see some of the evening shows such as fantasmic. We were able to go to one park in the morning and then pick up some of the shows in a different park in the afternoon. Since you only pay for parking once and it is good at all of the parks, we would drive from park to park. One day we did three different parks.

I like having the park hopper as it gives you the possibility of options. Sometimes you need to modify your plans and when you have the hopper you can do that.
