If you ran out of Amy's transfers, and really needed more

What brand would buy? I only need a couple. I know they won't be as good as quality but they will serve the purpose for our trip. Does anyone have some they have used with decent success. Thanks!

Don't do it! I had this same issue this weekend. I ran out of Amy's, and borrowed from my cousin, got some Avery and some other kind I can't remeber what. I thought oh no biggie, they will be just fine, then I followed all the instructions carefully and promptly ruined my DD's most special shirt. Then we tried the other brand (something from hobby lobby) on one of DH's old work shirts and the transfer looked like junk. We leave friday. I have 4 SWW shirts left to finish and 2 arrival day shirts. I placed an order last night with Amy and am hoping they make it, she shipped super fast last time so as long as I get them wed night/thur morning I will be able to get them done in time. Won't be able to wait 24 hours and wash them on that timeline but I can't risk ruining more shirts and wasting time and money with junk transfers.

What is the purpose of washing them again when done. I planned to just pack them away when I finished?

I've used the Avery transfers for dark fabrics in the past, and they haven't been bad. I wouldn't recommend the Avery transfers for light/white if you ever plan to wash the shirt.

Hope you don't mind me butting in here, just thought i'd answer your question. It is recommended that you wash the shirt after application of the transfer with some vinegar in the water ( no laundry det.) to help "set" the ink on the transfers and help prevent running. Hope that helped!

The vinegar wash is purely a personal choice.

I do not do the vinegar rinse as I have never had any running issues. Even in the rain and on water rides.

I always wait until after I return to wash mine again, as they are already clean and I like them to look so crisp. But there is no harm in washing my transfers again if you wish.

I just did the Wilton transfers last night. I decided last min to do some shirts so no time to order Amy's transfers but they printed out well and went onto the shirts fine. I'm crossing my fingers it doesn't rain while we are wearing them though! LOL
