Just to make sure I'm understanding it correctly...

If you own a direct contract with a UY of April for CCV for 100 pts and then buy a resale at CCV also with a UY of April for 200 pts, that means you have 300 pts which can be used at the 11 month mark at CCV or at the 7 month mark for another property, right?

And with regards to the new "rules" about the original 14 properties vs the newer ones, can I use those 300 pts at the Riviera or just the 100 pts that were purchased direct?

I thought I read somewhere that if you own both direct and resale for the same property and the same UY it's basically like having 1 contract since you only get 1 membership number.

Thanks!

1) yes
2) only the 100 direct unless the 200 resale was bought before 1/19/19
3) same UY and same names on deed (even with or without middle initial has to be same and has to be deeded same) will get you same member number. Does not have to be same resort. Same member number means all contracts show up when making resie and you select which you use. The system won't allow you to use a contract if you can't...ie: I have Aug UY with BWV, CCV and HHI points and if I try to book BWV at 11 months, it will only allow me to use the BWV. I am sure the same will be for booking Riviera...will only allow you to use the direct and not the post 1/19 resale.

I should add that at 7 months out I can book 1 seamless reservation using multiple contracts under one member number. IE: at 7 months out I want to book GFV 2BR for 225 points and want to use my Aug UY membership (I have June as well) and use 175 BWV and 25 HHI and 25 CCV I can. Seamless and easy. Now If I need to use points from both June and Aug UYs then it gets more complicated and I'd need to transfer points from one membership to the other or I book part of the stay with one and part with the other and have them (member services) link the resies. That is problematic because you have to book entire nights...say it's 4 nights and each night is 33 points...I have 30 in June and 102 in Aug....can't book that one day at 33 points. So you have to have the right number. If I transfer I can't book online and need to call in to book and may lose out on the availability in that hour (8am online booking VS 9am call in booking). I hope this is clear. Basically, it's best to have same member number (same UY) for all your points. Easiest.

If the resale points are purchased as of 01/19/2019 or later, then they will not be useable at the Riviera at the 7 month mark, but still can be used at the home resort and any of the 14 Legacy resorts at the 7 month mark.

The second contract will have your first contract number then followed by .1

Say your contract is XXXXX. Your 2nd will be XXXXX.1

I know that the answer to your first question is Yes, because that's sort of what we have (BCV direct 100, then resale 75, both same UY). All I need to know is that we have 175 BCV points, no differentiation.
